it's satisfying seeing Les have good meals since I grew up with him scrounging off the land.

Man I never want this series to end.
amen brutha. it's so wholesome and intriguing. Not to mention informative. I'm learning a ton on identifying wild edibles and also how to cook them from an award winning, world renowned chef and from one of the realest survivalists out there.
I second that! This is my favorite thing to watch!
Here's hoping it wont! I just found a plant in my backyard the other day that I think is the same mint les found for one of the season 1 eps.
@@joshb5632 @Venture Vlogs i love u guys
same I can watch this everyday
This is my favorite series on UA-cam now. Thanks Les! I've followed your show survivor man since I was a teenager and now as an adult this show just perfectly fits into my happy place.
A mix of Les's knowledge and passion for local edibles, Paul's amazing culinary skills and ability to tell a story of the adventure in his presentation, and a fantastic soundtrack to accompany it.. I may have found my favorite series! 2 thumbs! 👍👍
I love the opening theme 😁😁
I would like to make a motion to add Les to the Mt. Rushmore of amazing educators. He would sit alongside Bob Ross, Levar Burton, and Steve Irwin.
Don't forget mr rogers
@thatirishasian I fully second that motion! ☝️
Every Friday this is what I look forward to💯💯💯
I love how you guys find a beautiful way to present each wild plant into a meal. Thank you for evry episode and please keep them coming!
Hey Les, a little editing blooper at 6:10 😅 thought I’d let you know.
Les. I have to say this intro song is one of the most graceful productions of yours to date. So peaceful and catchy. Could listen to it all day!
Every time I watch an episode I get completely immersed and left with such joy. THIS captures everything Les is about: simplicity, authenticity, educational, inspirational and of course entertaining
This is the vibe I needed today.
This is the most wholesome thing I’ve ever seen in my life
Thank you, seeing you pick those hazelnuts Les reminded me when I was a kid. I was maybe 8 or 9 going out with a friend and spending all day picking hazelnuts. Getting back to my grandmothers house and she sat there and peeled the 2 large glass jars of them and then got us ice cream and we enjoyed them. Sadly, she passed away from cancer a few year later. Thank you for this memory I had forgotten.
Sorry to hear of your loss... Treasure those times, and always be grateful for those memories. For it's those that can forever keep us "immortal."
All I'm gonna say this is LES. I love your survivorman's. This is a gift for us. This will save the world. Mark my words. Stay absolutely beautiful my man. Such a joy to watch these two.
Wow. Easily the best episode so far. I think this show proves beyond a shadow of a doubt that Les Stroud’s talents go far beyond what he’s shown us so far! To the moon, baby!!
Anytime you can bring the pup with it’s a good day. Thanks Les
This is the real cooking show that I have been waiting for ! A pure delight to watch the both of you working together in tandem teaching and creating beautiful moments worth watching in a day and age where this is a rarity ! Thank-You
I get so hungry watching this show. As a self proclaimed chef, I really doubt I'll turn wild harvest into these master pieces, but it sure does give me many ideas.
Thanks Les, and chef Paul you guys are the dynamic duo everyone didn't know they needed.
Best episode yet, imo. Paul's got a great palate. I can almost taste it from his descriptions.
Paul's cooking is mind blowing. I know many ppl may hate me for saying this but I'd rather eat Paul's cooking than gorden Ramsey. It's just beautiful and he cooks meals more the way I would like them cooked. And Les is just such a good teacher I've been watching his shows for 20 years, I have all his books and let me say you will learn more in his book than by watching every episode of every single survival show ever made combined
Enlightening as usual Les 🙏👍🎣
So nice to see Les eating delicious food prepared by an amazing chef instead of starving and eating morsels.
I loved every minute of this ❤️
this channel is therapy i didnt even know i needed. Thank you Mr survivorman
This is the best show ever!
Absolutely knocked it out of the park with this series. Love it!
Yes!!! "Smallys" are "Dynomite" fighters!! This is a great show!
Iv watched you for years and most of what i know outdoors was learned from you. Thank you and thank you for making these as well its nice to see you outdoors its always peaceful👊👌😎
This has slowly become my favorite series! Paul is a very talented chef! Also I love your dog, Les!
Les I'm from Big Sur California well Carmel California I recently moved to Panama City Beach Florida very shallow and unfertile place. This show to me is like closing my eyes and taking a walk in my backyard in Carmel Big Sur it appeals so much to my thirsty soul since I moved to Florida thank you thank you thank you God bless
Just binged a ton of these in the last few weeks, Les. Thank you for this show.
I took a foraging course here in Maine last August because of this series. Please keep it up.
This is Les' best show yet. I've spent pretty much my whole life foraging but love to see Chef Paul's new spin on familiar (to me) plants! It's always so inspiring to see others get excited about foraging to, and bring wild edibles to a whole new level. Watching and rewatching these with my kids as I pass on my knowledge to them.
Stroud the OG
The only thing I hate about these episodes is when they end.
~26 minutes is far too short. I'd love to see XL vids (a la Q.I. XL) just so I can see more of the background stuff from both Les and Paul. Quality content.
Les u inspire so many and the quality of this work is like none other.
This is my favorite show ever!
Seeing all of this makes me wish I could go out and do it myself but I'm too poor to afford to spend the time, money, or gear to go out here and experience this the proper way. Thanks for letting me live a little vestigially through you a bit Les.
This was super cool. Thank you. Still not sure I will be drinking from still water anytime soon.
This is my 3rd time watching, I just love all that you two do for these episodes!😍
I hope i run into you someday Les. I want to thank you for teaching me so much.
Great video on wild edibles. Suddenly i feel hungry.
I freaking love this series
I love watching Les eat lol. He's so grateful, even when he's not starving.
wonderful as always
The music takes me back to a place in Washington state that is the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. I think of this place often, especially when I close my eyes for a nights sleep. Amazing job with this series, visually stunning as well.
Thank you. Love this. Resting in that.
So awesome! I'm with Joey Figz- I look forward to this every friday now! And looking incredibly forward to Season 2! Chef Paul is an awesome guy - so glad we got to meet him in this series!
I am so proud of u Les, I am also a proud Canadian. U years and years ago filming the original Survivorman invented the genre of self filming before the others. Much love and respect from NB!
To be clear, Les Stroud did NOT “create” the ‘survival-reality’ genre! He may have SAID that early on, but before there was Les Stroud, there was Ray Mears, and before Ray Mears, there was Les Hiddens.
This is great. Having spent most of my cherished memories just a little south from there down the river, I'm really taken back on how these wild edibles have been used.
Always good to see Les in action. I became a huge fan while studying geology
Loved it I look forward to the next thank you so much for sharing this video and I really want to taste that food looked great
Man this video makes you feel one with nature knowing all the times you've harvested from the wild, it's soooooo good for you and taste so damn good too. I feel a little selfish too, because secretly I'm glad most people don't really want to imbibe in food so natural and raw...more for us who do.
Mr. Stroud thank you for your great informative and fun videography!
Fantastic, these episodes go by so fast. I hope you make another season and I hope you enjoyed making the series as much as we enjoy watching it.
Kevin's (assuming camera man) favorite part of the video, when the camera goes off and he gets to dig in I am assuming it certainly would be my favorite part.
Amazingly informative. Love your outdoor knowledge ❤❤❤
I absolutely love this. Thank you les and paul for coming together and making this so awesome! (And camera man kevin)💗😂💗💗
I love this series sooooo much I hope this is something that will continue for a good while
This show is making me hungry, damn it.
This Show so satisfying how u Love nature 💗 Ty Les
Anyone else feel like they know Les like he is a wise uncle or something? lol
Well done , love your episodes..Wild forest adventures ..Love your experience together with your friendship building.Lovely touches..I will view again when I am less busy and appreciate even more 📿
Very well done 👏👏👏
great episode! and i love the idea of harvesting from my local forests as i am a chef and would love to find someone that can help me. also so many beautiful dishes it ways that make my mouth water!!
Amazing what is created from the wild ingredients found. A combination of skills and expertise that creates something that should come with Smell-And-Taste-O-Vision!
Good stuff man.
I LOVE THIS SHOW.
The canoe shots had me in awe
Underwater leaves brushing on the bow. It's a beaut Clark!
Like yearning for you to stay
I am so very excited!!! This is going to be another great episode!!!!!!!! Oh by the way, you should bring Bob Wilson over and have him hunt and fish animals for meat for dinner, and the four of you (that includes Kevin) can all eat together.
I love the doggos get to come along
Cant wait for more
That was very cool
Most enjoyable.
Great show les
Great video
This is so beautiful
ok, i can watch Les eat all day long, hahaha. Paul, please keep feeding Les :) and I'll keep watching :)
Hey Les longtime fan and love the wild harvest ! You are a huge inspiration and I genuinely hope to meet you one day, have you ever looked into permaculture or other modalities of sustainable agriculture, the parallels and multifaceted ways wild gathering and the cultivating of indigenous plants could combine remains undiscovered in our time. Would love to hear your opinion and look forward to many more episodes! Your awesome love the content your providing to the world!
Very nice gentlemen 🤠
Les somehow found a way to go fishing and hiking all day and have a pro chef cook for him all while getting paid. This man is thriving.
How I missed that episode, I don't know. I spent my early years in Matachewan before we moved to Sudbury in 1967. All these plants are very familiar to me. Who knew they could be delicacies in a gourmet kitchen fare?
MORE! thank you :)
awesome🍲🌿🍃
Lucky 7th Comment. Thanks Les. For Everything
Les and Paul should open their own restaurant called Wild Harvest with obvious local indigenous wild edibles.
👏 my third time watching. Twice on PBS 👍
Anything hard to harvest always tastes best. When there is no refrigerator to run to. You will wish you had paid attention to these when they were at your disposal. Safe travels friends.
Wow, I have that exact grill you put the frying pan on. I have also used it upside down like that.
That's what that "plant," is. Rock Tripe. I thought it was a mushroom. I did know it's often found in Asian grocery stores and is used in stir fry. Cool. I did always wonder what it tastes like. Survivorman says it tastes terrible.
Hi Stroud, hi everybody we should go on a camping trip, maybe desert near a river, good old catch and cook
You have the way my friend and it is green
Dear goodness, now I want a chef Paul with me too
Can't wait!!!!!!
6:09 there is an error with the text at the bottom of the screen, just Incase you can fix it.
Love the series so far 2 episodes in and now I want seafood
The fine bones ARE very dangerous. Tweezers and very good lighting.
LOVE THIS SERIES!!!!
Those blue berrys are very different from the 1z that grow where im at those look almost like saskatoon but a dwarf version still very cool
Now I'm hungry...
Just recently discovered this series. Being a long time fan, supporter, and knowledge seeker of Mr.Stroud I can't say enough great things about it!! One can tell you're able to focus more on your information and delivery when you're not toting/using all that cam. gear. Please keep being the inspiration we all need!!
_Knowledge is Power_
Ayyyy Les, Paul, what about a wild harvest based restaurant?!?!??
The enjoyment and pride of the wild harvest comes from finding what you are eating. A restaurant takes from that and people will never feel that enjoyment the forager feels. In most cases I feel the dish taste so much better because I know me and my family have just went out and found it. Also when you make large meals to feed multiple people you use alot of the resource. I know I'm not the people you asked the question to but I feel my fellow foragers would agree with my opinion.
@@travisvarpness2845 sheesh 😒🙄
@@travisvarpness2845 I agree it doesn’t sound sustainable sounds cool tho
@@travisvarpness2845 What about a restaurant experience you go for the day and have a wild harvest expert with you when you harvest you gather things you want and the chef at the restaurant turns your finds into magnificent creations that are amazing. It would help foster appreciation of the land and be like an experience and not just a dinner. And for those who just want to try the different meals, they might offer a smaller package with pre-selected wild edibles and you pick which ones you want to try and they cook them up. So you could do the entire experience or just sample what you might have through the smaller package. I can see this being huge in areas of Colorado and a lot of those rich wild edible areas.
@@AndrewJamison79 now thats an idea. A more one on one expierence. Like a guided animal hunt. But the price tag on that would be high I would guess. Not saying there wouldnt be alot of people that would pay. I am just not sure that it would be a restaurant setting ever though just too many variables. Like in the video foraging is alot of take one leave three. If you had people with money in hand your resources could be depleted quickly. For the record I am no expert and I am not telling you to go out and chase this dream down but I do feel there are many set backs that would occur. I do know that there are many foragers that go out and forage and bring there goods to higher end restaurants to sell. But a everyday full menu seems out of reach.
