Thank you for taking the time to show us how you did it! Nice job.
I just did the install and actually had the same deck. Glad I wasnt alone with the little nipples on the brackets... thanks for the video!
Glad I was able to help thank you.
Very much appreciated the thorough video and your attention to details.
Thank you so much I appreciate that...
“I’m a grown adult and I’ll never do that” 😂😂😂
I was wanting a stereo with a rear camera since my rear view mirror is blocked by an aluminum truck shell . Did this one come with a rear camera wire?
God Bless y’all
Was your factory amp in the back? Ive heard from alot of people that you need to buy a bypass harness for your amp and plug it into the new headunit. I also have an 06 tundra and thinking abt doing it exactly how u did it
No it was easy I just hooked the wires for the harness adapter listed below per the colors to the new deck harness and plugged it in and works perfect really good upgrade I love having bluetooth and backup camera now..
Any chance you can reference the wiring harness you used?
Look at the video in details I provided a link where you can purchase it as a dash kit with harness that is the correct one for the Tundra.
Did you need to remove the positive lead to your battery? I am worried I would break a hand accidentally deploying airbags.
I guess it wouldn’t hurt to but I felt pretty safe since I was not messing with any of the airbag wires as they are all contained to the steering column.
Where do you buy adapter? Can you tell me please?
I bought the adapter kit comes with the wiring adapters and mounts it list Scion but if you look up the kit number it also fits a 2006 Tundra amzn.to/46kKPIr
I’m not sure what I did wrong, but I’m not getting power to my rear door speakers
Hum did you hook up that extra connector with the 4 wires that should have been for your rear speakers, might also check the fader on the radio too make sure it's not faded to the front only. BTW mt Tundra didn't have rear speakers there was a spot for them and wires but no speakers...
@@TheElectronMan It’s the 02 tundra SR5 access cab, I think the speakers worked when I had my pioneer in it, but it went bad so I swapped it with a dual electronics XRM47 model, i color matched the wires and the only one I left out was the blue wire, because I’m pretty sure that’s for the amp but I removed it. The front speakers and tweeters work
when I took the door panel off I saw the speaker and a white striped wire going to it (unless that’s just a housing??)
@@cmxcy69 Since it was working before then more than likely it is something else. Maybe the speakers went bad check the fader on the XRM too..
You put that cheap piece of shit in a truck?
You couldn't put a Kenwood or a Pioneer in?
Lol it’s not that bad better than the factory junk, but had I had a nice Kenwood I sure would have installed it but I have beer money not champagne money.
I just did the install and actually had the same deck. Glad I wasnt alone with the little nipples on the brackets... thanks for the video!
