The wii menu start up sound and music just reminds me of being a kid at night having sleepovers and playing the Wii suupppeerr late with my childhood friends. God it feels like a lifetime ago
I set up my old Wii recently, and I cried from nostalgia when I saw the “Press A to continue” screen and the Wii menu with the music after about 6 years of not hearing it, and I did all the stuff I enjoyed doing when I was little
I remember when i was little i used to create goofy miis with my grandpa. I still remember those moments and i kinda cry because I feel like i didnt enjoy enough the time i had to do that with my grandpa i want to go back and enjoy the moment a lot more 😢😢😢 i still have my nintendo wii and its never going away its going to be forever a good moment in my life
It makes me so sad that the wii had to be discontinued. I have used the wii since 2009-2010 and i love it just as much. It also makes me sad that I never realized the wiis potential with the internet and wiiconnect24 until 2021 when it was too late. No matter how modern and advanced new consoles become, this one will forever be my favorite.

For my opinion, this was better than the Nintendo swtich menu. Tho i still like the switch, its just silent in the menu. But the wii menu, it sounded like something that can calm my adhd like ambient music. And how the game moves in the section, something like a gif.

Ngl the wii was the biggest nostalgia in my childhood and going into adult now the switch sucks with the plain layout and the e shop situation made me go through a depressing stage and the Mario games with the wii makes me tear up😢
