  • Over the weekend we decided to do some Mavic 3E testing. While flying I decided to do a 360 Virtual Tour for Construction Progression Deliverable. I shot eleven images for my 360 Virtual Tour and then Jodi created the final tour with Kuula. It doesn't take a lot to showcase and outdoor construction site. Can an outdoor virtual tour adde something to your next project?

Have you tried 360 video? Fly a duplicate route and switch between them. Before and after in 360 video!

Kuula's great - I've been using it for civil site tours in the Phx area for a few years now, always with a custom map with hotspots to the 360s as the first image. I've never clicked the "make photo location public" since I always keep the pages set to "Unlisted" so it's up to the clients as to who gets the links to the tours (and I clearly misunderstood that checkbox). So many(!) thanks for clueing me in on that option - auto-generated, zoomable maps with precise GPS image locations are a huge upgrade from what I've been doing!

    Hey Rich-
Can Kuula use the Panorama images taken from the 3E since it the 3E has that feature already?

Yes it can! You can take the M3E rendered panos right into Kuula. You might want to reduce file size but that’s up to you.
