The irony is, when it was announced that Batman was going to be an older, later in his career Batman I was hyped BECAUSE I thought that meant we would be spared stuff like the unneeded villain origins or seeing The Waynes get shot. I didn't realize there was so much Batman content since The Dark Knight Rises. Yes, I have seen most of it, but most of it also feels like not Batman centric enough for me to count it as Batman content. For me The Batman felt like the first Batman film in 10 years. And it was amazing. It really did find that perfect balance in between Burton and Nolan and to top it off, the story felt original and very familiar at the same time. I am really excited to see where they go next.
I personally really haven't cared about the DCEU that much. I have fallen asleep during most of them and I can only vaguely explain the plot of only a few of them. I've been kinda waiting for a soft reboot or just calling it quits. I enjoyed both Wonder Woman films and The Suicide Squad. I respect Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa in their roles, but just don't care one bit about their characters currently. And due to not really caring about them, Affleck's Batman went in to the "not that interested" pile.
Gotham was fun. The Joker was a great one off story. The Arkham games are so much fun and I love going back to them, either by playing or as a game movie from UA-cam. The DC animated movies vary in quality, but I have mostly enjoyed them. Except Hush. Still annoyed with what they did to it.

I know this is sacrilege, but I kind of feel like the worst part of Nolan's batman movies was the Christian bale batman, I really couldn't get behind him as batman cause of the guttural growly voice. Like the script was good and the acting as fine and it was shot great, but I really feel like bale was the worst part of those movies. Its not because I think bale is a bad actor, but I just really didn't like his batman. idk I just feel like it drags the whole movie down when batman doesn't feel like batman, I mean he looks the part, but I found it hard to feel threated by bale. like he felt threatening in psycho, but that's a very different character then what we got those movies.
I really liked "the batman" though and I like a more flawed workaholic batman. I also liked that it felt like an R, but it was PG-13 still. Like Gotham feels grimy, its serious movie though its not afraid to make a joke, and its dark/gritty, but not to the point of absurdity or to the point it feels like a gratuitous distraction.

He said on an episode of Fatman Beyond that Affleck was a massive fan of Batman particularly the Miller run. He accepted the role of Daredevil because he felt that was the closest thing to playing Batman at the time because they weren’t making anymore Batman film’s. This narrator has an implied bias towards Snyder. Listen to the comment about MoS and hey I don’t love MoS and the theatrical cuts of BvS & JL. But how can you objectively not love Affleck as Batman after watching both Director cuts of those films. He literally becomes the Batman we loved with the No kill rule by the end of ZSJL when he has hope again. Minor nuances of Ben’s performance are nuances of an experienced Bruce Wayne watch the opening of ZSJL he already knows who Aquaman is and was steps ahead of the mayor? Chief? Head Pimp? Of that Norwegian town when they were having that conversation.

    He loses his parents
He loses most of his Robin
He loses Alfred (in injustice ,he later comes back )
He loses so much yet comes back again to fight bcos he doesn't want the same thing that happened to him happen to other

And that forgiveness is hard but can be done for peace

I'm just happy that Bob Kane no longer has an unearned monopoly over creator credits of Batman.
Calling BvS a commercial hit is a bit of half-truth. Namely, if WB expected Man of Steel to make a billion, then BvS' failure to make that mark is just as much (if not more of) a failure considering how all-in they went adding all the DC heroes. Also, I just don't see how BvS, which cost $262 million and brought in $872 million, could be considered a success while Suicide Squad cost $175 million and brought in $746 and that's a "failure."

I really did see him evolve and become more and more comfortable with playing Bruce Wayne and the complexity behind what would motivate and drive Batman from a collection of youthful experiences. And the same can be said for many of the cast, too.

As a batman fan, I personally don't understand the fascination with the recent antihero catwoman. I think catwoman is a really interesting character, but why force her to be a batman counterpart. The og catwoman was so much better. the bat and cat "relationship" now feels more akin to the middle relationship between harley and the joker. unnecessary melodramatic at best and toxic mismatch of people who want different things from life at worst.
