This takes me back to a fun time being a teenager, I already purchased "Thriller" on December 2, 1982, already wore it out around Christmas 1982 and wore it out some more throughout 1983 & 84. Watched the Motown 25th Anniversary Special with my grandmother, after the MJ performance my cousin called me and scream into my ear. Everyone in school talked about the next day which was a Friday. I also bought the Police album, "Flashdance" soundtrack, Prince's "1999" album Eddy Grant, Culture Club, Thomas Dolby and others. Thanks so much. Being a fan from 1984-1996 and then 2018-... there's so much I haven't seen, especially considering I belong to an era where there was no Internet, cell phones and we have to rely on TV, mags and radio shows. To top it, I don't live in the US where every single day there were news about Michael. Those days were a real trial for us fans waiting for Thriller's follow-up, and then Bad's follow-up, and so on. Great, great memories. Really helpful for my fan fic, too. Greetings from Argentina.
@J Crash That's right. Waiting for Bad proved nerve-racking, especially living in a country where little news from him were shown. Americans was very fortunate because all the time they had info about Michael: We Are The World, Captain Eo and whatever he did, though he was quiet reclusive during those years. We had to rely on some lines in newspapers or music mags. And then until the 1993 allegations it was the greatest era ever. Michael was hotter and hotter. I just can't believe what happened and how from mid 1993 things went downhill for our poor Michael. He didn't deserve to suffer that way...
Billie Jean Beat It Wanna Be Starting' Somethin' Thriller Human Nature Baby be Mine PYT The Lady in my Life The Girl is Mine That's pretty much my personal ranking of the Thriller album.

Wow I think this is your best video yet! What an incredible way to lay out Michael Jackson's peak in fame, how he got there and how it impacted the world. You should really do more year-in-review type videos like this one. So informative, insightful, entertaining etc. It would be so cool if you laid out every year of his life lol but I know that's asking too much.
This is a great video!! One of my favourite so far! Really good to see it all summarised like this. I hope you make more for other pivotal years for all the eras. I felt the could have been just slightly faster and full screen images makes it hard to read subtitles.

I love all of his music sooo much R.I.P Michael Jackson king of Pop ✨
1983 to 1993 Michael was at his peak RIP
I didn’t see the James Brown Concert where MJ & Prince attended and made on stage appearances in 83

Mannnnnnn this is gonna be good I haven’t even watched it yet but this is when Michael became the king 👑
I never knew there were behind the scenes photos/footage of the Motown performance. That's so dope. Where did you find them?
The footage was included on the Motown 25 DVD set that came out a few years ago.
Beautiful Michael Jackson king of pop 💜 💜 I Love you Michael 💝 💝
MJ was at his most handsome in the 80’s. Not yet disfigured by plastic surgery. He was on top of the world in every aspect of his life and career.
1983 was the year michael jackson became the most famous person worldwide since jesus christ no one will experience that level of fame ever again rip michael jackson
Bron 1977 I remember 1983 a little bit I was very young what a year for music
Michael Jackson 🇺🇸🇺🇸👑⭐⭐⭐⭐🗽
This is a great video!! One of my favourite so far! Really good to see it all summarised like this. I hope you make more for other pivotal years for all the eras.
I felt the could have been just slightly faster and full screen images makes it hard to read subtitles.
MJ pulled up to the Dream Girls play with the beat it jacket on. Lol
This was EVERYTHING..THANKS
Great to see this month to month account of an important year in Michael's life!
I love this channel and yours as well girl🤗
@@mocancer8485 thank you so much!❤🤗
Please please please do 1984!
Interesting because the RnB station in NYC played so much of the album in 82. I definitely heard Billie Jean and WBSS then.
This is a good job highly appreciated
