  • This time we managed to make a mini chain saw which is used for pruning and cutting wood that are not relatively wide. The advantage of this tool compared to a pruner is that it can cut quite thick branches.

    2 things,
    less aggressive chain, higher RPM. figure out a way to get those RPMs up without losing too much torque and this will me a much easier to use and more effective tool.

      Yeah I wondered if that is just too little RPM. Would need to use higher voltage but then the motor might overheat.

    for best cut results, always make your first cut a shallow cut on the bottom of the branch, then cut from the top connecting to the bottom cut. this will prevent the branch from ripping its bark off and causing un wanted damage to the tree

  • @djkarcher1896
    @djkarcher1896 3 роки тому +3

    Needs more chain speed, but other than that, it's pretty cool, and already perfectly suitable for smaller applications and AvE-style unboxings. Good work!

      It's also going backwards. It should pull the workpiece into the buck teeth.

  • @Zogg1281

    That is so crazy that it's actually awesome!! Personally I would look in to using a chain and guide bar from something with a narrower guide bar and smaller teath on the chain. You should get a much smother cut and faster cut as each tooth has to remove less material. Normally the smaller gauge chain has more teeth, which is why it would be quicker. 👍
