After getting into the watch scene a few years ago I followed lots of watch people on UA-cam. They come and go but Teddy has always been a staple. Great steward for the industry.
Seconded. Made my first step up into "superior" watches following Teddy's advice and knowledge.
Agree. Also refreshing that he has more than the word ‘Rolex’ in his vocabulary ;-)
Def has the best macro shots
Appreciate you, Andrew! Thanks for this comment.
Mr., Teddy seriously does his home work.... Brilliant.
"what is a waitlist?"
A great video Teddy, it's great to spread the words and terms that us watch nerds didn't have to work out over time. A great nod also to the shout out figures who made changes to to the movement design options. George was ahead of his time in this respect given the precision required to make a co-axial caliber manually. It took a long time to productionise it. Thanks again Teddy.
Breaking bad news Teddy. I tried ordering an Oris calibre 400 from you today. Could not get through on the phone, or internet. Wound up buying from Jared galleria. An “A” for effort on my part. Can’t take my eyes off of it. Sorry bro. I tried.
Do case shapes next please! Love this series!
Was just working through the older videos in this series of "Getting into watches" videos. What a coincidence. Nice video!
Lol same

For the next video of terms… Chronometer. COSC etc. Ironically the former was on the dial of a watch when you defined Chronograph. Anyway, great videos Teddy! 👍
Very nice video!
One thing is for sure he's loving the sinn 556i⌚👌
Damn Teddy, awesome work.
Honorable mention to Kikuo Ibe, the founder of G-Shock.
Cha ching 💳💸 is the most important watch term.
Thank you for a great video. I was wondering what type of Nato strap was on the Seiko dive watch later in the video. It looks like a waffle type pattern. Looks great. I'd like to get one.
I like trinium. It does have a shelf life but I've had iron sites on my pistols for over 20 years and it still continues to glow
I would love for you to do a comparison of the Timex Expedition North Field Post Solar 41mm and the Citizen Garrison Black PVD. Any chance of a battle of the solar budget watches in the near future with the Timex released? Also, will you be getting the Expedition North line for your website?
Important information, soaked on ads that seeing this video a pain in the neck...
How Rolex got away with the Mercedes hands, is beyond me.
Do you mean in terms of copyrights?
@@mariog7213 yup
I guess it’s a win win for both brand’s 😎
Hi Teddy, i am new here! I would Love to see more Video s about Tissot watches.
Teddy can you review an Orient Star watch one day? Would love to see your review on them since you do enjoy the Orient watches quite a bit.
Do you have any recommendations for a link removal tool kit or tools? Any suggestions would help, love the vids keep it up playboy
Nice
Goodnight sir
Actually most dive 'count up' bezels can be used to count down too.
If you need to count down, say 20 minutes, just align the 40 minute bezel marker with the minute hand. When the minute hand hits the 12 o'clock marker on the bezel, your 20 minutes are up.
Teddy, I'm disappointed you didn't mention John Harrison! The man invented the accurate marine chronometer and opened the oceans to exploration and trade.
in NZ milford sound theres a cove named after him, Harrison's cove! its really pretty there
Next video should include nickname for color schemes especially for diver watches such as Pepsi, Coke, Batman etc.
Veblen goods. That’s a very relative term regarding watches.
Need a Teddy textbook with a beginners guide for watches
Could you please make a video on the speedmaster 321?
Kintaro Hatori should have made the list or the person how made the spring Drive.
Teddy, how about a watch collection update of yours?
Tide bezel.....never heard of that. Interesting.
Question for anyone reading: what are some good low-end brands for classy simple women's watches? If you avoid Rosefield, Cluse and even Skagen or Fossil, what's left?
Seiko always has an amazing collection, the presage especially
Tissot with their T-my lady watch if you going for more of a dressy look
Casio has their iconic stainless digital watch
And some other brands to look at: Oris (might be a bit higher of a price but they have great watches), Orient, Junghans (I love their max bill collection), citizen
Mondaine do some really nice watches and not too dear.
Tissot
Alba or pulsar some even automatic
The one aspect of watches I find myself super opinionated on is hands. Seems like many are designed for looks over function (eg huge snowflake hour hand that obscures the dial, or giant but short seiko or citizen arrow hands). I find pencil hands with parallel sides leading to a clear point by far the easiest to tell time with. Anyone else feel the same way?
TIL what the term 'Oyster' actually means when it appears on those Rolex classics. Always thought it was due to the fluted bezel...
10:17 Nonono, leaf or feuille hands are not cut in a diamond shape. They look like a leaf, don't have edges and are usually found on dresswatches.
Hello
Maybe also guilloché dial
Wow
What is the watch at 17:14 called????
I wanted to know why I never see Tag on your videos or why you dont review them?
11:10 what is that watch?
Sir namaste
I know Tudors hands are called snowflake, but why?
Are they not shaped like an arrow to represent the English longbow and tie in with the Tudor and English theme?
The minute hand is the tip and the hour hand is the fetching so when they line up they are an English longbow arrow.
I thought when he said "pardon my french" he was gonna let some F bombs fly. Turns out he meant literal French
What is the name of the watch in the thumbnail?
Omega Aqua Terra
Damn that Breitling costs eight grand !!
The most important term: ‘Rolex’
👍🏼
Boring.
@@garyboyle695 Boring like Ferrari. Like 1947 Mouton De Rothschild. Like Tiffany.
Indo-arabic numerals ,the original name.
Breguet. We are not worthy.
He speaks good English however what is "swash" group?!
A tad ridiculous
My life has totally changed since I started with $7,000 and now I make $ 10,450 every 11 days.
i'm new to investing, how do i do it?
I achieve great success every week with the guidance of my BROKER and since contacting my BROKER, Mrs Elizabeth Armstrong Palmer, I have gained a lot with small losses, her trading strategy is top-notch.
after watching so many UA-cam tutorial videos about trading I was still making losses until Mrs Elizabeth started managing my investments now I make $21,560 weekly. God bless Mrs Elizabeth Armstrong Palmer she’s been a blessing to my family.

Funny story: My database professor in university gave us the task of watching this and your previous video and based on that, to make a database in SQL where you can put the information of all your watches if you are a collector. Great videos!
Do you actually have the database? That would be a useful thing to have!
Excellent
