    As someone with synesthesia and on more than one occasion sees sound, the sentence “I wanna fill this music in my mouth” is actually a real mood. I also fill like you have the kind of sense of humor that you could wear earrings that spell out “Booba” (and the OO’s have nips). People who don’t like other people having nose rings forget that nose rings have been considered high fashion and a symbol of power for thousands of years by the majority of cultures on earth.

    • @nerissarowan8119
      @nerissarowan8119 2 місяці тому +3

      I think people who don’t like nose rings forget they don’t have to have them. I’m not big on them but that means I won’t get one. It doesn’t make me entitled to comment on how they look on other people (which is usually perfectly fine tbh).
      I don’t understand why people think content creators should care about their inane thoughts.

    Always happy to see vocoders used tastefully. Oh yeah, IF PEOPLE TELL YOU YOU'RE DOING IT WRONG BUT IT'S COOL ANYWAY, KEEP DOING IT. So many people are held back by others thinking "oh you gotta play your instrument this or that way" "you can't possibly be serious about gigging with a band" "you can't do this style as THAT band" fuck it, do what you love and other people will flock to it. Nobody will remember that one artist that played properly and by the rules. There's even pure noise artists out there and people that love that shit.
    If it's "too easy" or "too simple" to make that music well? OK, why don't you do it then. I hate pop music as much as the next music hipster, but you can't say they're doing it wrong.

Imogen was influenced by people like Elizabeth Fraser, Kate Bush, probably Bjork to some extent. Or at least those are people who I can hear in her experimental singing style. I even had a friend who had gloves that triggered musical samples, albeit in a far more primitive way, but he had them in 2000. He also invented mashups, by the way. Mark Gunderson, a great dude.

    The shitposting-to-cool sounds ratio was peak with this, such a great comeback video and @cassievines was such a cool guest and artist! beauty isn't lips or bums, it is you two working in the zone, this was so utterly sweet and yet it hinted at past brokenness took me through moments of healing and growth, the emotional range of both of your music is what makes it beautiful and real, no cheap fillers.... thank you Emily for working when you should be resting. Thank you Cassie of being Vines and reminding me of The Vines too.

    This is a classic Emily video premise - take something negative and try to make a positive out of it. That's just the kind of person she is, and after getting some crappy news myself today watching this was the first time I laughed crazy loud since. Thanks, you two! You're awesome. ❤

      I'm not 100% sure whether these comments were meant negatively - but I agree that it would feel different receiving these comments.

      @@doyouwanttogivemelekiss3097 The gist of what Emily is saying seems to be that weird/creepy comments that are sexually suggestive are negative, to her, and I'd agree. So by singing some of them it's making a positive. It's also hugely entertaining, and hopefully reminds people who letch at her that she's here for the music. And the pedals. Mountains and mountains of pedals.
