I created a tealight candle holder mold from a regular rock mold using gypsum plaster cast, painted them black, and then created a dot mandala pattern in red and blue on each of the candleholders.

Do you mix your paint with anything? I've been doing mandalas for a bit now, but my dots are always just flat, there's no real dimension. Any suggestions?
My favorite paint for a more structured dot is folkart multi-surface paints!
