Hello Mike! Thank you for continuing sharing Sue’s amazing talent. Though she is no longer with us her wish to share her work lives on and I’m so grateful for that. She had so much beauty inside herself to share. I hope you and the children are doing well❣️ Helen
Hi, Sue ! joined your FB group and recently posted pics of two tea candle holders that I dotted (this design, in two color schemes) . Even though I'm a beginner, I've been wowing my friends and family. (And myself, too ! ). Some of the posts of others blew me away ! So many talented peeps out there ! Thanks for all you do !
This is gorgeous Sue. Can't wait to follow your tutorial. You are whipping them out so fast, I can't keep up. LOL Each one is just as beautiful, or more so, than the last! I can see this done in quite a few different color schemes. How fun it will be to try them out. Thank you again for another wonderful tutorial! 💕
My husband's been telling me a while now I should make a video showing how to find that stuff lol. I guess I'll have to actually do it. :) Glad you found it.
I use the Marks Mandalas tools the majority of the time, and his can be soaked in isopropyl alcohol when really dirty. But also suggests wiping with damp cloth. So every now and again I will soak mine in alcohol. I think it’s time for a soak 😂
Beautiful colors, beautiful pattern. Love it! I have two of the tea ight molds and have not even taken them out of the plastic. I guess I need to mold some and try to paint this along with you. :) Thank you for sharing your talent.
lcazgirl thanks for commenting! Welcome to my channel I hope you enjoy the videos. We have a new Facebook dot mandala artwork sharing group (link in video description) if your on Facebook and care to join. Lots of folks just sharing what they make and helping each other. Thanks for subscribing appreciate it. Sue.
The white dotting tools are DIY Mandala Stones set. There is a link in the video description to them. And also to everything else I used the paint colors, ball stylus tools etc. I list everything there for you all. :) I do get inspiration from other on occasion as I'm in a bunch of different mandala groups. But 99.9% of the time I just make it up as I go along. Its my relaxation and I love symmetry so mandala design is fun for me.

I sealed it with resin. The flame is not directly burning on it, it should be fine. They do make resin especially heat resistant (not art resin brand) but don’t think it’s needed here. If you were going to directly burn on it like incense that would be directly laying on it that would be an issue and need heat resistant. But Art Resin is fine for like coaster with a hot mug I would think that would be true for this as well.
I am waiting for my mold to come in. I want to try and make some of these for my nephews wedding reception. I need fall colors with the main color being like a pumpkin color. Can someone give me any suggestions on what colors would look really good? I am aweful for choosing colors. Lol
Hi Catherine, sorry you have an issue with my videos. I show the number of the tool I’m going to use and the paint color before I start dotting. I just see how many dots I can fit around and always try to end on an even number. It really doesn’t matter if you have the same amount it should be close if your using the same size tool as me. I mainly make non talking videos because my house is never quiet and then anyone can use them even if they do not speak English. I will give you a link to my tools page so you will see that chart that lists the mm size for each tool incase you do not own the set I do. If you look for my beginners playlist most of them I talk in. Hope this helps, Sue lovetocolor.com/pages/tools

Beautiful work! When done do you seal with varnish?
I resined it when done but you can use a brush on varnish or spray.
Beautiful! Where do the white dotting tools come from? Do find your ideas some where or can you think them up your self? That’s beautiful.

Beautiful colors! I just received my mold. What tea lites do you recommend to fit this mold? Thanks,Judy
Judy I just bought some tea lights at Walmart just their main stays brand and they fit perfect. I think most brands are similar in size.
Sue Sloan Ok:) Thank you, so much!
HI Sue - quick question - if you are going to put a candle in there that has a real flame, what would you seal it with?
I sealed it with resin. The flame is not directly burning on it, it should be fine. They do make resin especially heat resistant (not art resin brand) but don’t think it’s needed here. How many dots does your first row around the opening have?
64, but you just have to make sure you end on an even amount
Sorry, but I can't watch or learn anything as a beginner. No vocal conversation explaining how u made the gold spots etc.
