Fascinating insight into the views of Teens living a boating life. They all seem to have such a sensible attitude towards their lives in general which you don't see in City Kids from my experience. They also seem very caring and aware of nature and also appreciate the things they are seeing and experiencing. Milo is coming along nicely. Most animals are a natural at swimming because they have very little fear. My German Shepherd loves water and as a breed they are fearless. That's why they make brilliant Police Dogs. Great video again especiaily with Ivan's sense of humour. Keep well and safe. James.
When my boys were 12 and 14 we went on a “wild cave” tour at a Raccoon Mountain in Tennessee. Our cave guide was only 16 but knew the cave so well he could navigate it in total darkness. We had lots of crawling through very narrow passages (one named “The Birth Canal” to give you an idea of the size) lit only by the headlamp on the helmet. The boys loved it. But when the tour was over I had to bag up all our clothes in a garbage bag to take home where I had to soak them for two days to get the dirt and mud stains out.
Another incredible episode from my favourite sailing family 🔥🔥 Really amazing editing as well. You are super talented and I always look forward to hearing from my favourite naturist 🙈🌞🌞 Was also great to see Ivan's imaginary friend Tim the lumberjack make an appearance. That jacked lumberjack was trying very hard not to over flex throughout the video 💪💪😂
I think this is one of my favourite episodes. I really appreciate the time you put into making this vlogs and enjoyed hearing from the other sailing teenagers. Thank you
Awesome thanks Rachel. And thank you to the guys who took part in the interview. Thank you for sharing and being so honest with your comments. Stay safe and all the very best. Cya next time.
I have claustrophobia and there's no way I'd be crawling through caves with thousands of tons of rock above me. The lightening looked crazy and amazing. Kids seem to grow up just fine on a boat.
10:17 Tim looks a lot like Ivan? But we all want to know, did you find a Date Ivan? If not ask Tim for advice, lumberjacks are like, catnip for the ladies I’ve heard! 😂
I've watched Ivan grow up and since the early days he's always had that quirky sense of humour. Funniest example in my opinion was his comment in one episode years ago when he must have been 11 or 12, "Hell of a time to give up smoking". No doubt his awesome parents had an input however it was perfect comedic timing.
Yeah his timing is excellent. One of my faves is after us apologising for falsely accusing him of blocking the toilet he says "but I do monster turds though".
That was an excellent episode. If all boat kids are as intelligent, well-mannered, articulate and charming as those you interviewed parents everywhere should be thinking about a life at sea.
It amazes me at the different views of the kids. Love Ivans sense of humor! I love seeing how much you all gain from being out on the water living life to the fullest everywhere you go! I love how you embrace each new culture and show the good sides of all of it! May you always have calm seas and fair weather!
Boy, that "Tim" had some attitude! Ivan's alter ego. That was a good idea having a "man overboard" drill with Milo. She took it well. It must have been scary in that thunderstorm after your lightning strike experience. Time to revisit the "Sphincter Tightened" song Rachel?
Great seeing you all in your element. The lady and her kid, Michael, have a well named boat: Fieldtrip! Milo didn't seem to panic during the thunderstorm: she will thrive and prosper on Javelot (as will you in her company). Best regards.
That sailing Kid Ivan AKA many other names he such a Rebel, the other kiddies well they said its not easy as a kid constantly moving locations at sea. Good to see Milo in the drink its important to learn to swim even pets i would say SE Asia might be more then running out of that timber to make the boats there be no fish all those boats wow.
At some point all of these young individuals unleashed to be on their own will be able to be successfully amazing. When they look back years from now, I can’t imagine what each will feel or be at in their future. Only thing I’m sure of is all are amazing YOUNG individuals who will somehow make good lives and a better world. Thanks

G’day Kiwis, I may have mentioned this before to you, nevertheless could you buy one of these hand made boats? Ask for me how much you could buy one for at mates rates of coarse while your in the village? Install a mast and wala, sail boat for the boys, maybe? 😊 Gosh Bridie is a beautiful name, SV Pelican now that’s an ideal name for a Yacht as well. Could be a good catch for a young sailor I would assume hey Ivan? Whoa there, hey just saying so steady on.😅 The fun just never ends for these young sailors. The public education system is in havoc, last havoc. My neighbour was a career high schoolteacher in his Seventies and told me how the other day on his birthday he was chastised by the principal for “raising his voice” at a student. He said “you know what? I quit.” They sit on their phones all day chatting to one another. Seriously sailing youths are much better educated than main stream schooling and are not anywhere near as lamentable.😊You may need a wide angle lens to keep Thor in camera. I just watched an excellent movie you may choose to check out Rurouni Kenshin: The Beginning and Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends. Yes, Japanese yet don’t let that deter you Ivan. Enjoy
Firstly how do we see the film? Yeah love Bridie's too and she's lovely. The poor teacher must be beside himself. And the new books in libraries are outrageous. Who sanctions this stuff??
A really enjoyable episode with those insights from obviously intelligent young people. Just a question, are your episodes getting shorter, I have followed you for years and very much like the longer videos. I would say the effort you put into filming and editing is tremendous and also very much appreciated (long or short) by me and hopefully all your followers.
