I'm not a big fan of royal family.. how's the weather there at the moment? Does the heat wave hitting the Netherlands too? I'm amazed by the fertility of agriculture there although we know that the Netherlands mainland is lower than sea level.. I'm pretty sure you guys have a really good water system. Keep it up, Manon! Love your content. Much support from Indonesia 😁
I can definitely imagine that!! The weather right now is heading slowly towards autumn- less sun, it gets dark pretty soon already, temperatures go down. So no heat wave here- in fact, we’ve had a pretty mild summer this year (which I prefer- the heat is not something I’m very good at handling😂). Yess, we have an amazing watersystem; I’ll make sure to make a video about that one day, so you know how it works! And thank you for the kind comment❤️😄
Orange actually stems from the Persian "narang", which means bitter - referring not to the color but the taste of the peels of oranges. The first king of the NLs (William of Orange) inherited a piece of land in France called Orange, and therefore "Oranje" became part of his name, which he carried with him when he became king of the NLs. He was originally not from the NLs but from Germany.

Is there a story about oranges? Was the king named after the fruits or the fruits after the king?
