- Hi everyone,
With the very changeable weather over these past weeks, garden time has been much reduced. However, with the tunnel the plants have continued to thrive and we are at peak tomato harvesting 🍅🍅
Thanks as always for watching, do leave a comment and of course like and subscribe to catch our updates on all things gardening.
All the best for now,

Always a pleasure to join you on a tour Hugh, very few tomatoes ready here.
♻️Happy gardening, Terry King.
Thanks Terry, are you harvesting plenty of tomatoes at this point? All the best, Hugh
Your tomatoes are looking great there Hugh! That greenhouse must smell fabulous - that distinctive, slightly metallic tomato leaf smell.
August was a great month for tomatoes John, main ripening period for the bigger varieties, and still plenty to come. All the best to you there, Hugh
Thank you so much for sharing the polytunnel goings on. Beautiful space.
Thanks Susie! With the damonwet weather in August, it was a real treat to be under cover with the plants. All the best, Hugh
I was thinking about you this morning, you tomato in your potatoes is almost ready lol !!
That's a killer truss of beefsteaks!!
Cuttings look great, ours are catching up :)))))
Cheers Hugh !!🌱🤞👍
How are you're cuttings getting on there now - bet they're lovely plants at this stage! Oh wow, I've a couple of your videos to catch up on, can't wait to see how things went there 😁😁 All the best for September, Hugh
@HortiHugo really well, Hugh, excited to start harvest potatoes very soon!!
😁😁🥔🥔🍅🍅
I was thinking of you yesterday Hugh glad your both well. Fabulous tomatoes 🍅 and I’m going to limit the tomatoes on a truss next year for my beefsteak one had 5 on a cluster it’s too heavy for the poor plant. Have a super week happy gardening 👩🌾, Ali 🌞🥵🫠🇨🇦
Yes, the one truss works very well Ali, and at that there was one main fruit and two smaller side ones. Have some cuttings coming along from the mother plant with their own small fruits, so interesting to see how they gat on. All the best, Hugh
Good morning Hugh. We had a microburst here last night. Weird little storm. Lost power for a bit. Flowers stood back up tho.❤
I didn't grow no veggies. Steve has a few things growing.
Morning Molly! Hope you're keeping well there and that storm we see on the news is well away from you. All the best there, Hugh
@@HortiHugo oh yes. No where near here. I just deal with blizzards TG. No way would I live there. I got friends there tho. Some people like that heat. I prefer the cold. We get wind tho..some had trees on their houses nearby. Roof work. My old house got spared. The snow last spring caved in our shed roof. We couldn't shovel that one off. He had surgery so we had help shoveling snow off on the house. Cleaned that up all summer. So I got a slab of cement I'll put my trailer on now. My gardens were pretty good too. I grew some Cannas but no flowers yet. Elephant ears are great. Have a good one Hugh ❤️
Tomatoes look faab!! 🤩🤩 The beetroot looks super productive Hugh, what size pot do you have it in? Fingers crossed for the tomato cuttings 🍅 🤞
Thanks - yes lots of lovely juicy tomatoes harvested! The pot is about bucket size ( if that makes sense), they produce plenty of small ones for salads and similar. All the best there, Hugh
i've had too many tomato plants with only one truss on. own fault though. they were planted before i started mixing my own compost......................brian
How are the plants doing now Brian, did you get any more trusses on them? All the best there, Hugh
no extra trusses mate. with hind sight, i might have been better off taking cuttings from them at the start of the season. cuttings can sometimes give better results than the parent plant. might be worth while putting this theory to the test next season....................brian
