I've had a very manic week this week, so it was nice to take some time out and enjoy the garden and do some filming today.
We tidy up the bean, beetroot and leek bed. We sort out the outdoor tomatoes and run through blight and what it looks like.
Finally, we have a bountiful harvest with plenty of tomatoes!

It's alright. I plant the tomatoes all over the plot on their own so that if one does get blight, it should effect the others straight away. Most of the other plants seem to be okay outside and I always have the polyhouse plants 😊

Oh Jake so sorry about the blight 😢 we have been very lucky her so far that the intense hot and dry weather has kept it at bay. Wow cucumber glut 🥒🥒 I have a few but odd shapes and sizes 😂. Still waiting for the bit tomatoes 🍅 to ripen but they are starting 🎉🎉. Wow giant carrots 🥕 fantastic harvest. Have a super weekend Jake happy gardening, Ali 🌞🌞🇨🇦

I've certainly had some large and unusual shapes with my carrots this year 😂😅

What a wonderful harvest despite the blight! 🥰🌱❤️ The plot looks like a nice clean slate ready for August sowing. This was my first year trying to grow things inside my polytunnel during summer and it hasn’t been that successful. Your marigolds and tomatoes looked amazing inside yours!
That's why I spread my tomatoes that are outside around the plot, never grow them all together because if one gets it, there all gone!
Oh no, why don't you think the polytunnel worked? Was it a little too hot maybe?

The dreaded B word as we call it. Horrible isn't it! Last year we were so lucky with the dry heat, but not so lucky this year!
As for weeding, I think that's what I'm gonna be doing most of today! Fun, fun, fun 😅😂

@@pots-and-petals put on an audiobook and it will soothe you as you weed. I think blight comes in cycles so i’m hoping next year will be better than this year. 2021 we had blight so it is not a new thing. just that when it comes early it devastates
The beets look amazing! I loove leeks, baby ones will still be delish, I'm interested to see how big they get! Such a shame with the weather and blight, 🤞I really hope they ripen up for you! Amazing harvest! How did the yellow round cucumber taste? 🌱🙃
Thank you very much! This is the latest I've ever sowed leeks, so I'm hoping for some spring onion sized ones!
Luckily my polyhouse tomatoes all seem fine, just the outdoor ones so far! But because I plant the tomatoes dotted around outside, the others seem fine. But time will tell 😅😂
