Agree; I have a Block II non-FSP myself. The FSP looks cool, but the problem is that the FSP is right where you want to put your thumb while C-clamping, so it’s not ideal for modern tactical shooting. (Side note: I’ve also burned my fingers on an AR FSP before, so you run that risk, too, with the Block II FSP.)
I think I actually prefer the block 1. Gets the job done and its lighter. Yeah its not free floated but its still like 2.5-3moa with m855(assuming it's good m855). Imo, thats acceptable for a combat rifle but my opinion is also worthless in this context. I sold my block 2 tbh.
I used the the FN chf cl fsb barrel and cryptic bcg mystic silver on mine and I love it. I have it on an sig M400 receiver set with the centurion handguard. Isn’t clone correct but still has the vibe 😂
No such thing. "Block III" is the unofficial name for the Geissele URGI (and, usually, it also refers to the introduction of the SIG Tango 1x6 LPVO). However, so far as USASOC's procurement program is concerned, the URGI is still part of Block II.
Might do a block 1.5 inspired with a 16 inch hbar. I like doing infantry/marine builds. I got most of the stuff though I do want to save for a 3 position frt trigger and quad rail with quad rail extension. Other than that I might do ergo grip with waffle stock modified with zip tied butt pad and CAA stock saddle that has the battery compartment. Unfortunately I don’t know if I can get a trijicon acog, but I see that Saturn 4x32 prism scope is close with almost the same desired outline and function.
@@BunyipDude had a 16 inch hbar chrome lined barrel from del-ton. Not going full clone just inspired. Also I like the added range and softer recoil since it’s a mid-length barrel. Already have a lower with a VLTOR A-5 system so pairing a mid-length upper with an A-5 lower is best in my opinion. Especially in rapid fire with an frt.
After building numerous AR15s from numerous incomplete lowers, there is no difference from PSA lowers to many others. Pretty much lowers are lowers. Pretty much all the same unless the company adds stuff to it that makes it non-milspec.
In my experience cost generally comes down to better QC on the lowers and ambi controls. PSA is probably fine for your average shooter but without a doubt something like a KAC SR-15 or LMT MARS lower is better just depends on what you think is worth it.
I should have been more specific the psa guns have popped up in guard armories, these were smaller unit orders simply from a company that could supply guns when colt/fn was not able to, no official big govt contracts
@@Trigger_Slap it’s some low quality fake peq I used in place the the dbal I normally have on this gun, somogear or the higher end fma are generally the good ones that can hold zero for a time on 556 guns

Nothing wrong with a block 1 it was the first clone i ever built.
Block 1 is my favorite, but block 2 is my second favorite. Both are beautiful imo.
either is a great choice i love both as well
GB's, JTACs, TACPs and Civil Affairs still had Block 2's when I was there, hell we were using them as well the GB's basically threw the uppers at us.

I have some full clone lowers but for 60$ im more than happy with PSA
