This video is wrong. The reason that the entire world celebrate may 1st as labour day is because of the haymarket massacre. The whole world stood in solidarity with American workers. Except for The USA, because they wanted people to forget.
I'm not sure thats true, May Day is much older than that, probably the reason Haymarket was chosen on May Day was because it pre-existed. I personally had never heard of the Haymarket Massacre until watching this video. I'm not American, I don't think its well known outside of America.
