That was hilarious - and back in the day would have been very true! I remember declining backstage passes from my brother's band and from other bands they were friends with because I knew what it implied to people who didn't know who I was. Definitely didn't want that label!
I'm a massage therapist. When Rick said the person going backstage had to give him a massage, my friend freaked out... If I had had a business card on me, my friend probably would have found a way to get it up to Rick.. :-) I don't have Showtime. Will have to wait to see the Californication episodes on Netflix... I really like Rick's music have a lot of his CD's/albums and have bought/ read his book.I have seen him in concert and he is super and of course he is fantastic looking and I have always thought he had a great sense of humor.I don't mind the sexual inuendos in general,but I must admit I didn't care for this comment.:-P Had he been blessed with a daughter of his own he might understand the outrage and concern of those poor fathers.Remember Sahara Rick, keep it a little cleaner!

He said at a concert 9/28/12 that he had a squirt gun that dissolved clothes and squirted folks, when it didn't work obviously, he said '25 years ago some of you'd toss clothes at me just because.' No one took it as some woman hating comment. Prudish much? Maybe you protest too much because RS wouldn't have looked at you twice and you're just sad.
@onecasual1 It's hilarious when I hear friends talking of him as if he's a saint. He's probably calmed down a lot since wife & kids but back in the day, He was NO SAINT! Who WAS back in the day? I've told both our girls (when they were age-appropriate) that neither their dad nor I were saints when we met but that's okay. It's made for some pretty interesting 20+yrs & it's never been boring... For all the prudes, life's for living & you wasted some of the best years of your life. I pity you.
