Pressed glass was never made in wooden molds. Carnival Glass was pressed into metal mold and while hot sprayed with metallic salts dissolved in water. This caused the iridescent surface to form.
Is it safe to drink hot tea or coffee from carnival glass? I know you must be careful but I was thinking if you preheat the cup it may be safe however, it might not be a good idea if the metallic compounds end up in the beverage. I can't find much info on the subject. Thank you for any advice or reply...
My mother has a set of carnival glass dinnerware. She’s in her late 80s and has mentioned that she thought the glass she has came as a give away with boxes of laundry detergent
I do not have carnival glass but a German made piece with a sticker on it. It says bleikristall echt pfauenau. The end of the last name I gave to you is where the paper ends or ripped. I do know it is crystal. My mother gave this to me before her death in 2003. It's colors are similar to carnival glass. Is it worth anything?
You did not talk about the value or prices of the prices you showed. You should also should have talked about prices of prices of what people may find at thrift stores vs. antique stores. There is also a good video out there on most expensive carnival glass pieces.
Carnival glass is nice but the younger generation really don't collect that I find it all.the time at thrift stores very cheap more than likely owned by grandparents who passed away...

Is all carnival glass iridescent?
Yes
What's the value of each?
Do you purchase from estate sales if my son doesn't want the ones I have. Not that I'm planning to make them available anytime real soon.
