My mother was a Fenton dealer started in the 60's. Between the family members we have over 2000 pieces of Fenton. Many still in the original boxes from the early carnival to the epergnes, burmese, coin dot, punch sets and exclusive limited edition items. My personal collections are the punch sets, burmese and vaseline as well as the Christmas items. Love watching videos on Fenton and hopefully when I retire the prices will be back up to par. Thanks for sharing.

According to Dr. Lori, she says in a few years, maybe 5-6 years that glass will be making a huge comeback. I personally think all the glass is so cool and it brings me back to my Grandparents house and good times. That’s so cool that you have so much and in boxes, too! Wow. My style is so all over the place.

Fenton Glass from 1905-1907 was decorated by Fenton but manufactured by other glass companies. In 1907 Fenton built their first factory in Williamstown, West Virginia and started producing their own glass. Their first piece was not iridescent ware, it was crystal with a water lily and cattail pattern. There are many inconsistencies in this story. The Fenton factory closed in 2011, the buildings were demolished and a school was built in it's place. The closing has made Fenton glass more desirable and more valuable.

I loved your video, it was very interesting. My Mother and I used to drive down around the Ohio River valley and back on our annual glass trips back in the 1970’s when the glass factories were still in existence. The Fenton glass factory was one of our favorite stops. I have a lot of Fenton glass and I didn’t know what to do with it. I think I’ll sit on it. Thank you for your info.

Good idea for a series, I wish I shared your hopes for the future of collectables. My wife and I have numerous collections from Anri to Wedgwood. WE enjoy them, but the younger generations have no interest in 'dust collectors'. We had small collections (3 is a collection) until the late 1990's, but increased our collections dramatically when the market started to die, and did real well on eBay until it became more work than fun. Maybe by the time our grandchildren get to sell our estate, your hopes for this field of collectables will have recovered, and we have still enjoyed our 'stuff' for many years. I did subscribe.

@@66uniqueantiques Today to make something relevant or valuable you have to collaborate with another brand. Maybe Fenton can pair up with Corelle, or an expensive brand like Chanel. Once Fenton becomes "hip" :) and cool, then its value will rise. The same with other brands. I'm sitting with a lot of Norman Rockwell stuff (and I love his art) but there's so much that the value is almost worthless. I'm hoping somebody who's a big Rockwell collector will scoop it up. I hope someone makes a movie about Rockwell, or creates animation about him. Something that's "cool."

I keep it dusted and shiny, that’s probably while the sticker is half gone. That’s all I have. I bought it for a gift, then when I purchased it, I decided to keep it! I have nothing else.
