this scenario has been done a number of times with different endings....in one the Husband (who instructed to kill his wife) chases around to find the letter and then in desperation comes home, goes into another room, you hear a gunshot from him committing suicide just then the doorbell rings and it's the postman with the letter coming back for insufficient postage.
wish I knew what this episode was all about.
Too bad we have no idea what is in the letter or why it matters. So much for abbreviated episodes.
