Hitchcock was on a US chat show, maybe Dick Cavett, I don't recall. The host asked Why did you come to America? Hitchcock: It was part of a cultural exchange program. Host: Well what did the US send in exchange?" Hitchcock: Nobody knows; they're afraid to open it.
I'm a big fan of Alfred Hitchcock and his movies. 😊
I am a fan of his WORK.....but NOT of him as a human being after he hurt Tiippy Hedrin like that while making "The Birds" because she wouldn't give him her favors.....he was NOT a nice person at all!
My dad got me hooked on this from age 3. I'm 42 & still watch these classic pieces of heaven daily❤ Nobody will ever top Hitchcock or Rod Serling
I love Darren McGavin! 💕
Yes, he was a great actor, I haven’t seen him in a movie for many many years. He also had a great speaking voice, I love the old black and white movies. They were fabulous actors back in those days.
I love it. She played him at his own game....
Thanks for Hitchcock!!!! Love everything he does. I watched this show when I was a little girl....
I love Carolyn Jones (Morticia) from the Addams Family.
❤Ms. Carolyn Jones and her High Cheek Bones🎉 Outstanding🍄💜💵💔🌸💄🙏🔥💦😈🐣🦋🦅🦇
More Hitchcock please!
LOL...what a great, wry sense of humor!
If you think this is good, listen to the audio book on Audible about Hitchcocks life. Called the twelve lives of Alfred Hitchcock. Has loads of insights into the history of Alfred i
I only wish there was a little more to it, but still a good one.
Marvelous ending! Another Fantastic Hitchcock plot!
Awesome. I love Alfred Hitchcock. I remember watching these shows on Nick At Nite in the early 90’s.
A 1955 production ! Hitchcock is before his time.
*Pizza Flix The (Martha Cheney) Vase Alfred Hitchcock (TV 1955) Darren Mc Gavin appreciate your videos Listening 🌟 from Mass USA TYVM 💙 Alfred Martha Darren*
I'm so excited...I love this series! Great actors! I am so grateful I found your channel, you are the Bestest!❤️🍕😺
Hi GBC, Don’t get too excited, I currently only have rights to stream 2 episodes… but I’m working on getting more. 🍕🍕🍕🍕🍕
I always loved how he bashed the commercial sponsors
Carolyn Jones is almost unrecognizable with short blond hair and no Morticia persona.
As Jon Lovitz used to say on SNL: “Acting! “ 🥰😀
Check out a film called A Hole in the Head, with her and Frank Sinatra. She was really versatile.
She also played the victim, a sort of 1890s coquette, in Vincent Price's The House of Wax.
She's instantly recognisable but looks a bit odd as a blond. She looked good in any hairstyle. Check King Creole.
The half hour episodes are the best……
I thought that was Carolyn Jones!! I miss this kind of TV.
Excellent! I absolutely love what you did in the beginning.. artistic license 😊
Great script, storyline, good acting & Alfred's classic sense of irony. We'll never see shows like this again.
We looked forward to these every week. Back then, TV was good (I loved Playhouse 90) and movies were still good.
I just love the sound for Alfred Hitchcock.
Always enjoyed Hitchcock. Darren McGavin was a treat too.
Loved Darren!
One of my favorites.
I loved watching Darren McGavin in various shows when I was growing up.
Wish it hadn't ended quit then.
Hate to see Darin play a bad guy.
Good example of gaslighting someone!
Keep looking for Mr Hitchcock's cameo's, and miss them - even when the television series were running , and his movies prior to that .
A good excuse to watch good work again .
@@davidlium9338 Even in his classic 'Lifeboat' with it's few people aboard at sea when someone is digging around on the boat and there's a newspaper with his picture on one page.
There's always such a sly sense of humor with Hitchcock. Great episode.
Absolutely brilliant ‼️
The curator of the museum was George Macready who worked in several films including The Alligatoe people in 1959
good old darren
I love Patricia Collinge in everything she did. I especially thought she was wonderful as poor frightened Aunt Birdie in The Little Foxes with Bette Davis and Herbert Marshall.
The Night Stalker and Morticia Addams? Cool!
Darren McGavin plays an excellent villain, once again. George MacCready is in this, and he is NOT the heavy, here. Also, sprightly Carolyn Jones has a prominent role. Excellent AHP episode! Oh, and lovely Ruta Lee shows up. Hitch had real pull getting these big stars to play for him!
Wonderful ending ❤🎉
Thank you.
I met Darren McGavin in 1981. He was the guest star on a TV show where I worked. One day during lunch break he came to the production office, asked to use a typewriter and typed away for several minutes on several sheets of paper. When he finished he said, "I had to type up a new lease for my tenant." McGavin was a smart, down to earth, personable man.
That unmistakable voice, didn’t change much as he aged. I expected him to exclaim , “Why, it’s indescribably beautiful!” As he cradled the old lady’s museum piece. 😂😜
Love those Hitchcock flicks 😅❤
I TOO LOVED DARREN MC GAVIN HE WAS A WONDERFUL ACTOR, AND CHARACTER ACTOR AND I HAVE ALL OF THE NIGHT STALKER MOVIES AND T.V. EPISODES!!!GARY BAILEY KING OF DARKNESS AND GOD OF THUNDER AND LIGHTNING /GARY BAILEY OH YES THANK YOU FOR THIS WONDERFUL
EPISODE SHOWCASING DARREN MCCAVIN AND CAROLINE JONES... OH AND ESPECIALLY RUTA LEE
YEAH BABY!!!!
SALUTE, PizzaFlix! He has posted many videos for us over the years. Good to see you back.
Thank you for uploading. My husband is a huge Hitchcock fan.
The Cheney Vase ... Starring Lon Chaney as Dick Cheney. And Ruta Lee as the "clinging brunette" from Agatha Christie / Charles Laughton film "Witness For The Prosecution".
Thank you for sharing. I have subscribed
Darren McGavin was handsome!!.... Love him in Night Stalker and as the father in Christmas Story!❤😍😘❤
Kolchak when he had his own hair and not one of those bad wigs he wore that were so obvious to pick out in the TV series. And he had beautiful hair. And Morticia who had such strong feminine appeal. Great chemistry between these two actors. Between the two there was lots of personality and sex appeal.
Vintage Hitch. Never saw Darren mcGavin as a young actor, and a villain.
One of the great anthology series.
Oh Mr Hitchcock ❤. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen one of your wonderful creations. I wish I could find more to watch, for free (ads are not a problem)
Always loved this one!
aPtricia Collinge appeared in several Hitchcock movies and shows and was an academy award winner. She was a main character in this episode but is not even mentioned here. More attention given to Carolyn Jones who had a small role.
Carolyn Jones - Morticia from Adams Family
Darren McGavin could really play a nasty man, what a phenomenal actor.
I liked him as drug pusher opposite very young Frank Sinatra in Man with the Golden Arm. Let's just say he took steep DROP during movie😅😂😮
The Cheney Vase was last seen at the Haney Place.
👍😲👍👍😉
Ty
❤
Wonderful ending!!!😅😅😅😅😅
I'm a big fan of Patricia C . ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The first maid played Lucy"s mom on I Love Lucy. 2nd maid a young Ruta Lee.
Looks fra gee lay. Must be Italian.
Cara Mia!
So,, this is how Darren McGavin got his start ?
Darren McGavin didn't seem to age much for decades.
I AS A YOUTHFUL LADD SAW AN EPISODE ABOUT A GUILLOTINE IN WHICH A PRISON DETAINED INDIVIDUAL SOMEHOW POISONED THE GUARD WHOM WAS TO PULL THE GUILLOTINES LEVER TO CHOP OFF HIS HEAD !!!!! I THINK IT WAS ONE OF THE EPISODES ?????? IVE JUST FOUND OUT IT WAS ON AN EPISODE BORIS KARLOFF'S THRILLER TV SHOW AN IAM GOING TO VIEW IT IN A FEW MINUTES 😂😂
Look . Its mr. Fra gee lay. Hahaha. 😂
Must be Italian!
I thought that was (a very young) Rita Lee as the new maid…
@@samdavis1958 I hate autocorrect. Yes, I did type in Rita (damn, did it again!), RUTA Lee, but someone/something had other ideas.
@@HeronCoyote1234 I hear you. I figured that was it. I always keep autocorrect turned off because it is aggravating. If I get it wrong I want it to be me instead of a machine.
geat
Carl Kolchack meets Morticica Addams.
Talk about gaslighting…
The most horrific part was the plastic.
2023 we are drowning in that shit.
Not his best, but okay I guess. Hitch was the most entertaining part of the show.
Carolyn Jones died at age 53 due to colon cancer. Don’t forget your checkups.
@@QuadMochaMatti You are so right. Health coverage is expensive but I can’t live without it. Thought of dropping it many times. Not only do I pay high monthly fees but then I have to pay the doctors a co-pay and other fees like tests. Sorry you have no coverage.
*Tish!* You speak German?
A true life demon... And people really do this to each other...
Is there actually a way to get a Cheney vase though?
if it says "Cheney" GUILTY
DARRIN was a great Mike hammer…….
This gaslighting actually upsets me to watch... Lol i guess that's the point
Yikes - the clot shot :) LOL
Never saw Darren as a bad guy! Weird!
13th episode
Elder abuse.
Morticia as a blonde???
I couldn’t watch more than 10 minutes of this show. Watching a man manipulate and control a woman through lies and false praise isn’t enjoyable entertainment.
Hitchcock stories have twist endings. Perhaps you should have waited for it.
women are so gullible ,I hate such episodes men trying to to get what they want got at such lengths ,she not believing her old maid of 20years ...so hurtful
Good example of Gaslighting.
All people care about is the actors.. Missing the message as usual.. People are idiots..
*You've got to upload the Hitchcock episodes "The Dusty Drawer" with Dick York and another episode "Hangover" which was clearly where the movie writer got his inspiration, albeit in the form of a comedy.*
Hi John, I'm going to post a crazy little TV thing with Dick York just for you. Stayed tuned and may the Sauce be with you.
Darren McGavin was one of my favorite actors, thank you, especially The Night Stalker.
Me too.
Kolchack “The Night Stalker, The Night Strangler” are both great.
He was good in that Christmas Story movie.
Also as Mike Hammer in the TV series. In it he is almost the same character as he later became in Kolchak.
He plays his characters so well that a person can hate HIM. That's talent!
