@@hudaishodu I would start with the recipe as is the first time you make it. Then if they turn out too sweet or not sweet enough adjust with plus or minus 1/4 cup of sugar. :)
There is a slight persimmon taste, they taste pretty close to a pumpkin cookie if you have ever tried those, since they use the same spices (cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg). And yes the fruit adds moisture and brings out the sugar flavor too.
