I think I am going to spend some time fishing shallower beaches this Winter. I know I'm probably going to get skunked doing it but I need to know. We need to know!
I think I am going to throw a trap out there and get a bunch of crawdads at some point. The lows are dropping in the mountains now and things are looking up.
Nice try Man I fished lake Davis recently btw and caught a beautiful 9lb rainbow he’s still in there and a bunch of 2-3lbs fish using your power baite and worm setup thank you!
@@wildernesswithamani1027 Yes sir! It was the most fun I have ever had catching a trout that I can remember of! I usually catch 1-4 lb fish so that was a trophy for me man!
Yea...not surprising that they are out a little further and deeper this time of year. I think this late you gotta stay with the larger rivers but even they can be a letdown when the temperatures rise. Or you can find a high elevation lake with cooler temps & a spot with some inflow. That seems to be a place where they are always hanging out! Good luck wherever you end up next!
I'll be hitting the high country when the 395 opens towards the end of the month. It will be cooling off big time up above 10K. I am ready for that action. I don't want to add extra drive time going around the construction so I'll be hitting some lower elevation fishing in the next couple of weeks.
That thing made me want to go get the trap sitting on the trail above and get a bunch of them for dinner. Melted garlic butter as a dip would have been superb!
Amazing you found a secluded fishing spot on Labor Day weekend. When i was working i had to take advantage of the extra day to go camping & fishing. Retired now i won't stick my head outside on holidays..😂
I rarely see people down in the hard to reach boulder areas. They will pass by on the trail but you really need to want to reach the water where I was. I didn't see anyone all day but when I got up to the lot it was a human zoo. I don't know where all of these people go. They aren't fishing from what I can tell.
I fished Marlette lake the day before this for Wilderness with Amani on Patreon. got a couple of rainbows but didn't have my usual strong day of fishing up there.
@@wildernesswithamani1027 I went today and it was cut short by a bit of weather. 2 rainbows and a brook in the net. Lots of work just to toss them back.
Hey dude any tips for new visitor? I'm going thru your videos on tahoe. I'm just passing by so I'll fish for a day I can't take my inflatable pontoon so im.stuck shore fishing. I'm not scared going in cold water either. I'll be there Wednesday so if you got anything or any videos of yours I should watch send it to me yeah!!!?????❤😂❤😂❤
I have fishing videos for all around the area on my lake Tahoe, lakes and reservoirs, rivers, and backcountry fishing playlists. Short hike and nice fishing at Eagle Lake in Desolation Wilderness. lake Tahoe fishing is best when it's cold but it's not impossible to hook into something big.
I am not sure. I have way more places I want to go to this Fall but I don't think I am going to make it because time is dwindling fast. I want to head east at some point this Fall but I don't know if I'm going to make it.
Good luck out there amani! i missed you by one day a couple weeks ago i was out at farad fishing and the next day i seen you post a video with a rattlesnake down by the river. Thanks for confirming my worry of rattlesnakes we had a couple people hiking down the steep incline in sandals thought it was kinda funny they were having a hard time getting down there but i was more worried about the rattlers and all the skin my friends were showing.
I look at oncoming traffic when I am on the side of the road because I don't want to get hit! I was stopping walking and stepping off onto the dirt until the cars passed because I was so paranoid. People seem to be looking at phones and distracted by other stuff a lot when they are driving.
When I used to go to Mammoth after labor day I used to have the whole place to my self. Now (I am going this weekend) its totally still packed . People need to go up there with respect for the area and it seems that the herd doesn't have much these days. Thanks for the Video Amani :)
Hike a couple of miles into the woods during the week and the crowds thin out. Once the lows dip down into the 30's and lower it weeds out a lot of the crowds. That's what I am looking forward to.
No, I fished below the Chimney Beach parking lot. I want to fish Emerald Bay when the campgrounds are closed and it's cooler. I have plans for that place.
Amani. I hope PayPal is working for you. This is my favorite time of year to go fishing. Cooler weather means no mosquitos, Labor Day,school starts means less people. Don’t get mad at me I just love solitude from time to time. Rick in SD see ya
I just threw that up there because people have asked about it in the past but it brought in a little revenue I can put to good use. I figure that link will go unnoticed before too long which is fine. I love it too when the mountains have fewer people. The colder lows will make that happen in the not too distant future.
Hello Amani. I will be up there the weekend of the Sept 21 in the North Tahoe region by the casinos. Is there any place you can recommend to fish near the casinos on the bank?
The spots I know are in videos on my Lake Tahoe shore fishing playlist but many are best when it's cold and the crowds are gone. Maybe try the short hike to Eagle Lake above emerald bay. Nice rainbows and browns. That lake and hike are on my backcountry playlists.
Absolutely gorgeous scenery there. Steaming up and cooking them with some butter - yeah that sounds pretty delicious haha.
I haven't done crawdads in a while. I think I might throw a trap out there at some point.
Hello Amani, trout fishing from shore is tough with the warmer water but you still grinded for a few, let’s go!!!🎣👍👊

I can’t wait for winter as well. It’s crazy how busy some of those places are.
Great job out there. You should do a crawfish 🦞 boil 😋

I miss your face Amani. I used to work with you at Ontrac. I'm glad to see your channel growing.
Thank you. Miss hanging around with you and all of the people there. Wasn't crazy about the place though!
See ya' at north lake merced , 18th hole harding park inlet.......
I haven't fished Lake Merced since the early 80's. Got a lot of memories there as a kid.

I sneak into Marlette from the Ash Canyon/Hobart Reservoir side and an E-bike. Usually do good with 12 inch or so average Rainbows and some Brookies.

Are you going to do mono county creek fishing or are you under a time compression?

lack of water and improper footwear are the two most common things I encounter hikers suffering through! Crazy how high the river still is.
It’s the swerving at cars fad Lol

What time of day is it? Are you at Emerald Bay?
East shore most likely near Whale Beach.

@@wildernesswithamani1027 Amani I used PayPal to help out. I think it’s a great idea. Wasn’t much, but a start. Rick in SD
Went to gold lake over the weekend way to many people. 😵💫🤬🥵
That's a drag. yeah, I'm waiting for it to get cold. The average mountain visitor doesn't dig lows in the 30's and below. That's what I love.
I got to the Rubicon river in Desolation and the water was almost a trickle. Didn't even see a fish.
That's tough to see after hiking.

Spooner lake
You can try boulders in Sand Harbor, cast as far as you can. I caught some nice rainbows and cutthroats there on rapala last fall.

Late summer shoreline lake fishing can be tough, ready for the fall, the fall of the summer time crowds!
You got that straight!
first viewer hooray
Right on. As stated by the great Ricky Bobby, "If you aren't first your last!"
The idiot tax is worse than federal tax.😂
It's harsh!
#72👍🏻🎣👀
Lake Tahoe is a cold water/weather place to fish for me. I need to shut it down in June.
