That ceiling is ALL THAT & a bag of chips! You are so talented & creative. You make all that sophisticated carpentry & design look so effortless. The great ones make it look easy. Thank you, Melissa!
Great job Melissa - I love the ceiling and the battery operated lights! Also love hearing your tips and tricks throughout the video and the new vlog style you’re doing. 💛
Oh! A familiar face. I was wondering how I start to watch Michygoss the other day. Now I think maybe it is because of this channel. Thanks Melissa and thanks UA-cam.
I loved everything about this video. You are a natural with great talents. The painting was a surprise for me. I didn't know you were so artistic. You are a pleasure to look at and to listen to. I wish your videos were longer. I could watch you and your content for hours. Keep em coming and don't change a thing. You're doing great!!!
you are wonderful, a special soul, endowed with a lot of creativity and potential. I love people who know how to give value to things, bringing joy to the souls of others. God bless you.
What a nice job you did creating an office. I loved the sconces without electricity. With the new generation of being able to Wi-Fi our lights this is an awesome fix for people who have no electrical experience. I may use it somewhere in my home where I don’t want to hardwire the electrical. My children are just after the millennial and into the beginning of the generation Z and neither one of them use top sheets. I’m a sewer and I’ve used all of the top sheets to create other things with them. Keep up the great work. I can’t wait to see the rest of what you do to your home
Interesting on this type of carpet tiles. I've seen large square, low nap ones used before but never this type and a higher pile. You'll have to let us know how they hold up.
When you first mentioned painting the ceiling dark, I had my doubts... I thought it would make the ceiling feel low. But with the panels and that striking color, it's the star of the room!
Everything looks great! I would re-do the crown molding to stain grade. No pre-fab corners, but your carpentry skills! So it will match the base, door, casing, and window trim package Your walls are painted, so it's transitional enough for your ceiling
What an amazing job you did Melissa! That carpet was pretty neat so was that stud finder. FYI I don’t use a flat sheet either lol I can’t stand them! I can’t sleep with them all tucked in at the foot of the bed and then when you untuck it, it gets twisted all over you. I have a closet filled with all flat sheets because of this 😂
The room looks great -- especially that ceiling! I have to agree with many other commenters that your Vlog style for this and the previous video is really good.
HI MELISSA: THE WALLS WOULD BE FABULOUS IN "BURKE DECO" SISAL METALLIC WALL PAPER RATHER THAN THE PAINT WHICH HAS NOT REAL TEXTURE. MAKE SURE YOU USE A NON-TOXIC WALL GLUE. FOOD FOR THOUGHT.
Great job Melissa! What type/brand carpet tiles did you use? I haven’t found anything with a suction grip on it. It would be perfect for my extra bedroom. Thx.
Wonderful work! Very Informational, and you taught me a lot just in one video. That was not a slated ceiling like the living room? Length of walls? What size room was it?
@@dosam_6146What kind of ridiculous comment is this 🤦♀️🤡 I cant believe this even needs to be explained, but yoy obviously dont have to "ignore" your kids in order to accomplish things that have nothing to do with them. The most important thing is having a support system, whether that is your spouse or family members, friends, etc.....but its still possible to get things done without a support system. You just have to he a little more creative and relentless with your time.
As an interior designer we rarely take up vinyl tile flooring squares or not before putting carpet down. Nor do we rip out wood flooring before we put carpet down.
It looks good. I like the painting. The colors of the room are good also. The one thing I don't like is the tile carpet. The color of the carpet is good I like the color but the tile look no. You can still see the outline of almost everyone. But good job on everything 😊
6:26 ok so it’s a thing??? I NEVER use my flat sheet… well I do… but never on my bed… I use it for photo backdrops or other crafts or uses… like this… 😅 Ps I’m a white sheet addict too.. I love white sheets & towels 🤍✨
What are those tiles like for vacuuming without constantly being picked up by the suction? If I'm not careful I can barely move my vacuum head it sucks so hard to carpets & rugs!
Thank you for this video! We are getting ready to transform a spare room into and office and I didn’t know where to start! Definitely looking into the desk! Which model do you have?
Love everything in the office! My favorites are that amazing ceiling and the custom artwork. Is this considered finished to you, or are you going to add more? Like maybe built-in shelving or more art on the other walls?
I’m going to leave it as is for now, but I do think the wall opposite the desk (by the closet) could use something to stare at. I’m actually thinking I’ll hang a huge dry erase whiteboard there 😊
Amazing job, take a bow. The design and choice of decorations are perfect. I really like the way you introduce us to new convenience items and material. Love the lights and desk. I've seen most of your DIY and you'd be a very successful Interior Designer.
@@WelcometotheWoodsBlog Congrats! You were my first ever reply from a UA-camr!!! The link's working now. (Previously it was giving an error page) Love your work Melissa! You inspired me to do a concrete overlay over my old countertops, and they came out amazing!!! Thanks for being in touch!!
I’m older (ha, not old, just older than you) but honestly, all of your choices and materials are great for this space and I like them all. The painting? Dayum?! Great job, stay adorable
I’m loving the carpet tiles idea, thinking that after some time the area under the desk will start to wear faster than the rest. Did you buy extras to replace high traffic spots like this? I’d love to see a follow up video when the time is right

The room is beautiful but so in love with the ceiling!

I love this! Only this i would have done differently is gotten rid of the louvered door I hated having to clean those as a kid

Very beautiful styling but i'd put a colour on the door and sidings of the window as well, it'll make the room more peaceful
Really like the office & the new format...
Wow!! Love the ceiling the most but the whole room is beautiful..♥️
Ya, that ceiling is everything! Love the colors you used, some neutrals & pretties! Great design, enjoy it!😊
New vlog style is great, your personality makes the video…keep up the good work
You are absolutely amazing ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I definitely like the vlogs better. It really shows more of your personality. Oh, and nice work on the office haha!
Many 60s home have mahogany trim and veneer doors.

That ceiling is so majestic. It looks like something you'd see in a big fancy hotel I'm so impressed.

Stunning transformation! Luv it😊
My youngest had a desk like that given by my friend when starting uni. The standing is so dynamic, love that. This is a classy piece for sure
It turned out really nice. Great colors and fantastic painting you did. 👍🏻👏🏻

I know you did the ceiling in the last video, but it is still the show stopper. I absolutely love it. Oh, and your office looks good too :).
I love your painting! You have talent, Melissa! ❤

6:22 I won't make fun, but am curious what sort of cover goes over the fitted sheet if not a flat sheet? 🤔
Nothing, just comforters with a duvet. You strip the duvet and wash that!
I'm getting white house vibes from this office space. Great job!
hello welcome to the woods its is randy and i like your video is cool thanks friends randy
Great job I'm love what you do
I like it so much 👍
It blows my mind when people with kids are able to get anything else done that isn't related to the kids.
So true.
I have an incredibly supportive and wonderful partner to help me raise them, helps a lot. :)
Same! As someone who has a toddler and pregnant I’m amazed and inspired.
It helps when you just ignore them 🙄

That rug really tied the room together.
It is oak, and while the work seems like too much for a “commodity” but you saved a tree and reduced your carbon footprint. Kudos!
Do you have a link for the Chandelier ?
What are those light bulbs called, and where can I buy them?
Looks good. You should hide the power cord on the ground under the carpet since you can just life it up

Love your facial expressions
Can you share the link for the carpet tiles??

I've vacuumed them twice already without any difficulty, they don't pick up at all. :)
