      This is glorious, I have been researching "how can i lower my electric bill in the winter?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you ever come across - Piyaleb Spectacular Primacy - (should be on google have a look ) ? It is a great exclusive guide for discovering how to generate your own electricity without the headache. Ive heard some super things about it and my m8 got excellent success with it.

    I've got a handful of tips!
    #1 GO PLANT-BASED! Not only does it save you heaps of money it's also much kinder to the environment. Billions of animals are killed and tortured every year. I am an animal lover and used to eat them. Yes, I used to be the biggest hypocrite on earth. Going vegan has saved me quite a bit on groceries, has made me healthier, and is helping the planet.
    #2 My second tip would be to move somewhere with a great public transportation system (where possible). I've never had a car and don't even have a drivers license. I walk everywhere or take the metro/bus if needed. It's great! Not only does it saves me money it's SO MUCH MORE environmentally friendly. Cities with a great public transportation system are amazing!
    #3 I stopped drinking alcohol over two years ago and boy am I loving it! It saves me quite a bit of money, I am a much happier person and it's also greatly improved my mental health. It's one of those things that I just wish I'd done earlier.
    Going plant-based, walking and/or using public transportation and quitting alcohol not only saves you money but it's also going to make you so much healthier. All of these things are also much kinder to your planet. It's a win-win.
    I loved this video Craig, short and sweet. I am a huge fan of yours!

    So you want me to eliminate my car by living close to work? Is work the only place I have to go now? oh shit what good information. Now that i live close to work, I can walk to work then back home then back to work then back home. I dont have to do anything else

    • @treyhannula6226
      @treyhannula6226 6 років тому +4

      Trent T He didn’t say eliminate your car, just move closer so you can bike or walk to work to save gas. Turo your car when you don’t need it and use it when you do.

      Trey Hannula
      Funny you say Turo, I was researching it a few days ago and for some reason, a lot of people say its not worth it.
      Why not just buy 100 cheap cars and rent them all out through Turo or whatever if it's so easy???

    • @biggerpockets
      @biggerpockets  6 років тому +2

      The idea Craig was trying to share was more of turning your car from a liabilty towards more of an asset. When your car is sitting in the parking lot at work you can use Turo or a ride sharing app to make money rather than not. But these are only tips, not must do's.

      Pat L look at the bigger pockets answer. If something goes from costing you $300 a month between gas, insurance, etc to only $50 a month, that’s a good money-saving move. It doesn’t mean it’s profitable but it does mean it can be less costly.

    These tips along with keeping tour expenses low and tour income high, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t notice a drastic difference in the amount of money you’re saving.

    Dude's trying to kill the economy. If we stop eating out, how is McDonalds going to make money? If we all house hacked ... who will be renting from us? But I like the idea of using a bike to go to work. Only problem ... no bike lanes where I live and drivers don't care about cyclists. ...Ok. Was just kidding. I did all 3 of these things ... and they worked great for me.

    How is renting your property supposed to offset your mortgage when you spend all of your spare time and hard earned money fixing property?
    Either as a result of destructive or demanding renters, you can never hope to recoup the cost of renting. The only way to do so is to raise the rent offer to a point where no one is interested or can afford to rent your property.
    So... yeah. Bullshit.

    use public washrooms wherever possible.. less TP and water

    Terrible advice. Buying more property than you need to rent it out is a massive investment into an illiquid asset. Huge risk. Buy smaller. And put a discrete of your savings aside for the next 20 years into a very low cost ETF for better exposure, higher returns, and less risk.

    This is pretty unrealistic for the majority of the population. I can limit most of my expenses by living in a refrigerator box too

    If car sharing is so lucrative, can't I buy like 20 cars and rent them all out??
    I don't know how lucrative this business is. Maybe if you find good car deals and know how to fix your car up, it could be lucratibe but what about insurance during accidents

    • @biggerpockets
      @biggerpockets  6 років тому +1

      We aren't saying it's "lucrative", but rather a better way to make more money than having your car sit in a lot not making any money at all.
