I agree with you about most of your commentary and mostly that the ascetics drove me to purchase one yesterday. I am still awaiting delivery. I think that it is exquisite.
I hope it arrives soon and you enjoy it as much as I have! This has been in my collection for about 3 years now and has continued to be one of my favorites to wear. The patina has come along nicely. Congrats on the purchase!
@@OntheWrist It has arrived and I love it. It's gorgeous and it makes me happy every time that I look at it. I am looking forward to watching the patina develop.
Jody @ Just One More Watch mentioned that the mineral in the caseback is only on this version. Not sure why they cheaped out on this one seeing as the lesser models have sapphire. This is meant to be an anniversary edition, a celebration of 80 years, why would you cheapen that! It’s my only negative for this watch, wouldn’t stop me buying it though. It’s the look and design I like, I’m not bothered about the std sw200 movement either.
I totally agree. It didn't stop me from buying it, but it did make me stop and say "really?". A weird place to cheap out on a watch of this price point. The movement is quite pleasant to look at. The color combination is what really captured my attention. That green goes incredibly well with the bronze case. Jody know his stuff, but I think he is wrong in this case. Looking on the Oris site, I see mineral glass listed as the case backing for the normal Big Crown. For either version it should be sapphire, but a strange choice by Oris to make it not.
It's horrible, I know that value wise, and as a "geek" of specs it's not worth it (my colleague just bought a Christopher ward aquitaine bronze COSC for less money) but I'm just mesmerize, I can't take my eyes away from this watch, I can't stop thinking about it. I'll have to accept that it's the entry way to "luxury" where you pay the brand name, the history, the collection, the 80 years of that watch etc. Great video, great shots !!! Thank you so much❤
We love watches because of emotions, not always specs. I've had this for several years now and still love it. Two of my friends have the other dial colors of this watch so we all have one! These do pop up on forums or eBay for much cheaper, so you might be able to get a deal there if you are willing to go secondary market. Thank you for your compliments!!!! Glad you enjoyed the video :D
@@OntheWrist Yeah its brand new. Im suprised its priced as that in my country, there was 2 sellers online and both sold for this amount, the other one for $50 less and i just pulled the trigger on that one. Its on the way right now 😂. Everything on youtube says $2000 or less but only a bit less. Maybe it doesnt sell well in my country so they drop the price down 🤷♂️
@Fman That's a great deal. I suppose this model is now a few years old and with the release of their new in house movement maybe they are starting to try to get rid of other inventory to make more space for the new stuff. Either way, enjoy it!
@@OntheWrist Really enjoying it right now, even the wife was impressed 😂😂. Spectacular watch indeed! Thanks for the video that pushed me towards my buy.

You're msrp and value segment is absolutely phenomenal and I hope you keep up the good work!

Wow, what an supremely excellent review and intro music. Liked and subscribed!
Thank you so much! The intro is Chopin's Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2
Great review 👍
Thank you :D do you have this watch?
Great review! Can't wait to see the next one!
Thank you very much :) It's comments like these that encourage me to make more videos!
Beautiful dial!
It really is :)
Super watch❤
It’s one of my favorites! I’ve had it for over 3 years and still love it
The limited edition version of this one from a few years ago would be my choice. Stainless steel case with this same green dial. 👌👌
A great choice! The green dial is just such a great color. How many pieces did they limit that to?
Very good review
Thank you very much :)

Im probably gonna get this tomorrow or monday.... need to see it first in person to the watch shop. Got one for about $1300
That is a great deal! Is it new for $1300? Even preowned that is a good find. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine!

@@fteambjj You're most welcome! Glad you both are enjoying it :)
I’d argue this is more of a field watch than a pilots watch
What about a watch made of human skin....
