    I'm not usually a fan of brown-toned dials but this one, combined with the bronze and the brown strap, is a beautiful combination. Agree, I think the Big Crown series is one of Oris' most appealing watches.

    Bronze watches just look so raw and warm. It's just different for me!

    Beautiful piece! Oris punches well above its weight.

      It seems like but Oris and Grand Seiko has changed gear the last year.

    Have had mine for over a year now. Its a very versatile watch which can be worn both casually and also looks great with formal attire, loving the patina on this piece. If anyone would be kind enough to let me know if I had to clean the Patina what would be a better alternative rather then using lemon juice?

      Due to the high acidity, I hear tomato juice is good, but I've never tried it myself.

    It's gorgeous, but really out of many people's price range. Any similar looking alternatives?

    Beautiful watch. I already own a Shinola Bronze Monster (same movement $500 cheaper) and one bronze watch is enough for me.

    Another great review Teddy, I really like the radial pointer date complication. The SW200 is a fine workhorse movement as well as you say. You may well have put this watch on my RADAR. Time to ponder....

    That shirt cuff is tight.
    I know it's pulled up to display the watch, but man....so tight.

    Bronze is the perfect case material to wear in the winter time. This brown dial case is stunning, BUT that suede textured strap has to go. This would have been paired better with a similar coloured full leather strap or one of the cervo volante deer strap. Cheers!

    Just got my 36mm blue dial version of this. Day 1 wear us today! Haha. Love it already, just need to get a better strap and I’ll be set with this fantastic everyday piece.

      I've just got the same watch recently and have been hunting for 17mm straps, any good finds?

      @@benedge2202 unfortunately not. I’m going to swap it with my 18mm Ritche leather and nato bands tonight after work, and see how it looks/feels with a mm of material being pinched.

    I wish it did not have big crown printed on the dial. I prefer subtlety.

    One of my favorite Oris. Choosing between this one and the stainless steel version with the burgundy dial would be really hard for me.

      There’s a limited edition version with the red dial in the bronze case.
      They might be sold out already.
      I think it’s through Fratello watches.

    You might want to correct your notes to say the code is BCBronze instead of Brashear. You also might want to put the link to the Wind It On The Move video about patina on bronze watches.

    Another great video. Question. Do you think the bronze case is just a ‘fad’ or here to stay?
    I feel that the bronze watch case has really become popular in the last few years.

    • @TeddyBaldassarreReviews
      @TeddyBaldassarreReviews  4 роки тому +1

      I think it will always have a place but it has become a bit of a fad for many brands and a reactive process; one brand does it and others follow. Oris definitely is one of the brands setting/leading the trend and do the entire bronze thing well across their lines compared to others.

  • @BCallum

    When I watch your videos, I mostly finish them with the feeling that I am on the wrong channel. $2700 Canadian (over $3k with taxes) for an "every day" watch...My every day watch is an old Seiko SRPA21 with scratches on the Hardlex or a "nice" Glycine Combat Sub.

    • @Furniture121
      @Furniture121 4 роки тому +1

      I get where you're coming from, as the exchange rate really makes Oris pricey up here. That said, for about $1K CAD you can pick up a nice Hamilton, Tissot, or for about $1300 CAD you can get a CW C60 Bronze.
