@@jonblack2077 It would only cost 0.5 million (opportunity cost) IF it was during charter season. If however it was booked a week before or after and did not displace a normal charter, it would cost only fuel, food, and wear and tear, plus any extra crew that would not normally be there during off charter. IMO the owner of Loon is a very smart owner. For 'relatively' little cost, he bought for himself an enormous amount of good will from the crew.
As someone who loves to workout and cook, Franco is the perfect gym rat onboard loon. He always is smiling and having a good time, more Franco moments please
Franco seems like a bundle of energy. And Seanny seems like a bundle of energy. I can't imagine the two of them sharing a cabin - it must have a sign on the door that says: "ENTER AT RISK OF MAYHEM". The most laid back male crew member is Blair....but that's because he's always working!
I gets said a lot, But I what to say it again. It’s just one happy family on this boat and it really comes across in these videos. So what ever you all are doing just keep on doing it coz you all Rock ✊✊. Thanks guys 👍👍👍👍🇦🇺
Hey Blair - excellent content and it confirms that Captain Paul has a top crew. Glad to see that there are heaps of of mixed talents onboard- well done 👍
We could have a whole video on Franco’s cool tattoos I was so distracted by them or maybe it was his actual arms I was distracted by 😂😂😂 another great video love Sean and Nina’s energy!
Nice video Love Moo and her comments you can see how much she loves her role, what a talented lady, her psychology degree would certainly help with the Sean and crew 😁😁 It was a fantastic gesture from the Loon owner for families to go onboard and see how the loon crew works.
Great video Nina held it together while Seanny was doing his spill. Franko did not give his age. Blair getting to know the crew is great and hopefully once change over comes you'll continue with the new crew like Tristan for one and Chef Dean ect. Even if you add 1 or 2 get to know the crew in your regular videos would be nice.Blair you did a great job answering from Seanny. Capt Paul doing the ending those glasses did he mistakenly took Nina's pair accidently? Looking forward to next video
Thanks for the great content over the last few months Blair and Paul plus all the crew- love seeing a loon vlog pop up a couple times a week it makes my day ! So good. Paul what’s you fav Aussie beer ? I’ll send you a case so the team can agree that we make the best brews in Australia 🇦🇺
Thank you for the fantastic comment and for following along. Many, many great brews. Being from Perth, we have some great microbrews. When traveling up the East Coast earlier this year, we mostly drank Great Northern. When traveling through the Caribbean, we like to try all the local island brews. 🍻 - Capt Paul
Awesome - thanks Paul - give me a date and a port address ( month out do you think ? ) and I’ll send up some Queensland craft and some GN - super crisp or original for the team to enjoy.
Representing Kenya 🇰🇪 🇰🇪 🇰🇪 🇰🇪 . I'm excited to hear that you love my country. Blair and Sean, next time you guys are in Kenya, the first round of beers is on me.
Excellent content, really enjoyed last couple of vids getting to know the crew. You guys are living the dream but work your socks off for it so good luck to all of you.
What's the question about shammies? Red? Blue? GREAT video. I really loved hearing all the crew talk about themselves. Thanks, Blair, for doing the grunt work to get this done. It was fantastic!
Blair! You never really talk about the fact that you have to do a bunch of content creation for the guests too when you talk about your work. Obviously the social media creation is a huge effort given everything you all do (+ partnerships which is also huge!) but I think you give yourself short shirft because it can "feel" like you don't do anything "for the charter" when you totally do :). Not that marketing isn't important of course! Get those folks in!
Brilliant, great to hear from crew and interaction. The owner has to be one of a kind ,what a fabulous idea to have crew family as guests. Paul and crew, have a fantastic festive season and charters. from Kaipara, New Zealand.
Classy move by the owner! I have to say seeing these bios are always interesting. Hoping you guys are getting some downtime while in Antigua. Any of you been on board Maltese Falcon? That yacht is one of my bucket list charters. It looks amazing, as does Loon.
Love the video's, interesting seeing what it's like on a charter yacht, seems like hard work, but a lot of fun as well, and in a great environment. Beats pounding the oceans on Tankers as I used to do.
Been following for sometime and at 82 would love to chatter for 2 week adventure with fam and friends. No drunks mostly laid back with fishing and some diving classes. Eating what you catch.
Seems like everyone likes the beach and the Caribbean. I would love to know your favorite destination with and/or without guests in the Caribbean and why 😊
It is for navigation lights. Vessels over 50 meters are required to have additional steaming and orientation lights forward. To indicate size and orientation to other boats during night passages or at anchor..
Another great video. You all get on so well, I'm sure that's quite unique. It must be very difficult to be married but work away for so long (I believe 2 months on 2 months off), Paul must have the best life as his girlfriend is there on the boat also. I'm sure there are other couples between you but not sure if it's allowed. Great gesture to have the 6 longest to have a week charter, chance of a lifetime. Are any of you invested in the boat also or is it just 1 private owner ? I get the impression some of you might be. If not, have any of you thought of the idea of being owner/crew, though probably not such a big boat (maybe 30-50m) ?
Brilliant marketing, hands down. Now that we know a bit about the crew, how about doing a series from a guest viewpoint coming on board for the first time? Not just the welcome drinks and pomp, but what/who is availalable 24/7? What is provided down to the basics... soap, shampoo 24 hour snacks/food. What if I want to go ashore at 3:00 a.m.? Do you have access to Tele-Docs for mid cruise ailments? What are the strict No-No's for guests? In other words, give us a guest's perspective on a Million Dollar Cruise. Well done all, keep it coming!
We'll try to work out the best way to show this. 3am tender no problems. lets go. Teledocs. Yes, the best ones possible Smoking inside the yacht, anything drug-related, being rude and disrespectful to the crew, or purposely damaging the yacht are instant show stoppers.
Use one of the most animated crew members as a "first timeGuest" aboard, the entertainment value would be priceless. No need to expose one of your private guests, the inside knowledge would make this informative and funny lol.@@motoryachtloon
How come most of the crew are from South Africa? Also are crews on yachts in general usually South Africans and Aussies together and Americans and Brits together?
I don’t quite understand what it means when you say charter off charter? Does that mean when the owners on board as opposed to when random rich guests are board?
Paul, this is a great because it adds a human element to Lunes’ online presence. Drone footage is good for filler, perspective, and transition, but not for main content. Viewers want to see crew members that they can care about. Until they know, and love the crew, they won’t care about the crossings, dockings, and activities. Adding Nina to the crew brought both a camera-ready personality, and content. But for Loon’s online presence to impact the media landscape, and sell charter bookings, there is one thing more. Loon NEEDS to recruit and hire Holly Robertson. She’s a seasoned, credentialed, ACREW 2023 award winning lead deckie, who brings not only experience and skill, but a videogenic personality that comes right through the lens. Hire this talented woman and your subscription rate will take off, bringing with it inquiries, and bookings. Your media concept is brilliant, but you need the right kind of personalities to make it work.
I've said it before, but Franco looks like he could be Rico from NAUTISTYLES son. Ask Nina as she knows them, but you can easily see him in their videos. He could totally be related to Rico.
Giving the six longest-serving crew members' families a week's free 'charter' is a superb gesture by the owner! Class!
Indeed!
I was going to post the same. Owner knows how to keep a happy crew. Happy crew, happy boat!
That rocks..
That’s only worth 5 million.. why not
@@jonblack2077 It would only cost 0.5 million (opportunity cost) IF it was during charter season. I love Nina trying not to laugh and comment in the background. LOL
There was some substantial cutting going on in that clip.

100% with you on that.

Great job Blair on interviewing the crew. 😄Really enjoyed Shawn interviewing you. You seem to have a great repore with the crew.
Moo is my favorite crew member. She seems like a kind, chill person.
Ah Thankyou 🥰
I agree that she seems lovely. But! Courtney is the one to merry. 🥰😄
It's nice to see that Sean isn't late to his own interview with Blair.

Sean is not actually late he is within an extended arrival function...... aka saying hi to everyone! Great video.
This series is so cool! It is really neat to hear some from the crew and see a bit of their personalities show through.
Great video Nina held it together while Seanny was doing his spill.

Enjoyed this content very much! No one seems camera shy any more!!😀❤
Everyone is getting so much better. thank you 🛥🥂

Great job I enjoy all the work that goes into you putting out your videos! Thank you!
this saves my weekend, thank´s
The Crew is Top 👏👏👏
greetings from Bloemfontein , south sfrica , lekker man lekker
It's a really small world that a good portion of the crew are all from the same town in South Africa. Is that a yachting meca?
What a cool, COOL, nice bunch of people
Great crew, love it
That was great. Really enjoyed the interviews.
Hello from JBay South Africa (getting my yacting courses done soon, cannot wait!!)🏄🤙
Good luck 🤙
Another well done video. Thank you.
Patiently waiting for Chris' questions😂

Adore Sean... what a hoot. ❤
It's heart warming to see so many fellow South Africans. Just miss the word "braai".
Great channel ! awesome crew! Am now too scared to have a night out if Sean is anywhere near the party...
Another banger! Good to see Sean made it. ;)
He was finally on time for something 😂
Very excited to see this video! Thank you for great work! Olga Slots
You can hear SA in Franco voice. Best interview/confession by far.😹🤟
That was so much fun!

Enjoyable series.

Loving these vlog with the crew….
Blair well done. So much fun and upbeat as always. Is that Casey Neistat on the thumbnail ? ;)
Blair. My daughter is doing her yachting courses next year. Any advice on where she should apply for her first position? Best way to go about it...
Yahoo Blair is single!! ❤❤❤
Fun. Thank you.

Please have the engineer talk about how you provide fresh / hot water. What systems and how it all works. Your content is awesome! Cheers!
Great idea we can go a little more in-depth into our water-making plants and how it is delivered around the yacht 🛥🥂
I did find it funny how you asked every guy on the crew how old they are. But you did not ask any of the ladies that same question. Smart man.
There’s some questions you just can’t ask !
How come most of the crew are from South Africa?
Also are crews on yachts in general usually South Africans and Aussies together and Americans and Brits together?
Loon is the best
What is it about the question Blue sham vs Red Sham?
I'm currious that most of the crew come from South Affrica. Is the owner from there too? Good video.

Great video, lot's of fun. On a serious note, do you have a concern about pirates?
We are always watchful, and there is someone around 24/7, but no, we don't usually cruise in dangerous waters. 🛥🥂
Great videos and content.
Which brands are you working with other than Scubapro?

Africa Time LOL That's classic
Sean should carve his next watermelon underwater! Have a competition with the rest of the crew, scuba carving.
What do you have for security on the ship?
Captain Paul does not discuss security-related issues, for security reasons.
@@paulshell1729 Thank You
I believe Nina met my daughter Amelia (Twizzle) last week for a drink. Have fun in Antigua.
You just know there was some spicy stuff cut from Sean's section
No comment … 🤫
BLAIR IS ONLY 21!!!! 🤯
Was Franco wearing nail polish?
Genuinely nice crew. Well done.
Does Blair make content for guests as well as the channel?
