Today we’re putting the Ryzen 9 9950X inside of a $28 computer case… Oh and an RTX 4070 Ti Super…. This is going to be an insane sleeper build. It may also overheat? We’re not sure but what we do know is we’re putting $2,000 worth of parts inside of a $28 case! Maybe airflow is overrated?

I have a question for anyone/everyone. I have two PCs. One has a Ryzen 5900x and the other a Ryzen 5800X3D. I have an RX 7900 XTX and I was wondering which PC would perform best with that GPU. Right now it is paired with the 5900x.

the 5800x3d is the fastest gaming cpu available on the am4 platform. assuming similar memory speeds, it will almost always outperform the 5900x in gaming. if you have any multithreaded workloads other than gaming, it might make sense to use the 5900x for its higher core count - but for gaming, the 5800x3d is **definitely** the better cpu.

Liked it enough I bought another for a future build.
My build was AM4 ITX with a 5600 paired with a RX 6600 XT.
Mine didn't come with a fan so I installed a Noctua NF-R8 Redux.
The GPU was short enough that I installed 2 x 120mm fans on the front panel to blow right on the GPU and CPU cooler.
I almost unironically bought this case for my computer but bought the asus ap201 instead. I'm really happy with the ap201. This case doesn't seem too bad
I bought that case. I bought some mesh with magnetic strips and replaced the side with it. It has a 4600G and a Radeon 5500 4gb. Works fine.
stays decently cool with a 4690k and 1080. Also you could have gotten a thermalright fan for $7.

It's a great buy tbh but alienware has so much proprietary stuff it's a horrible idea if anything breaks or goes bad you have to find the same part from the same computer or your screwed

There are so many trash things about this case that makes it feel special.

The 9950x is the greatest...? I wouldnt say that.
It is the greatest AMD offers overall (productivity as priority), but for gaming only 7800X3D is the greatest

Quick question here, what connector does the $18 fan use. 2 pin or 4 pin? And if it is 2 pin, where would it plug in? Sorry if this is a basic question.
I like these type of videos with using a terrible case with high end components. I'd say take the rtx 4080 & make a build out of it.

It is best practice to use the same brand and model of memory. Chances are that it will work fine, but I would recommend it. If you install mismatched RAM speed, the system will default to the lower speed memory, which negates the purpose of faster memory.

Getting the non bling hardware is always the cheaper solution. Given rgb typically adds a 10~20% price premium for the same hardware it all adds up when you factor in each part. By going with a cheaper older amd 3d cpu you could have enjoyed the same performance for hundreds less.
I built a 1080p gaming PC in one of these cases last month out of spare parts and goodwill finds. Was fun and actually isn't absolutely terrible. The case is, but the PC is ok.

I just got this case for an ultra budget build to sell. But I'm putting hardware in it that's going to draw about 75W total. It is the lightest PC case I've ever seen. But I see that as a good thing because I am selling online so it really cuts down on shipping cost. Good thing I have black fan screws.

A great idea on this deal of build this PC unit w/ high-end parts on a cheaper PC case guys its a risk but worth it! Maybe midrange PC specs be better for it! More to come!
