You've GOT GOT GOT to adjust those coilovers. It looks like either the spring preload is way too high, or the spring rate is so stiff that it needs helper springs. As-is, it looks like there's too much bump travel, and only ~1.5 inches of droop. If it needs helper springs, add them and raise the spring perch by the same amount as you sink the shock body into the lower cup. This will maintain the same ride height and only reallocate some of the bump travel into droop travel. OR, if it just has really high preload, lower the spring perch to decrease preload and raise the shock body up and out of the lower cup. Both of these strategies maintain the same ride height as long as you adjust the lower cup and the spring perch by the same amount. Basically, maintain the gap between the lower cup and the spring perch to leave ride height unchanged. Additionally, this will NOT affect how stiff the car rides, it will only prevent the shock from fully extending and jarring the car on big dips. Additionally, it looks possible that the extra bump travel can cause the wheel to travel too high into the fender on bumps. This is also why it's REALLY important to know how much bump travel there is. The best way to check this is to remove the springs and bump stops from the coilovers, then with the car in the air, jack up each corner until the shock bottoms out. If something else, like the tire, hits the fender or wheel tub first, you MUST adjust some of the bump travel out. Bump stops are there for a reason, and if they aren't fully compressed prior to things colliding like the tire to the tub, you seriously risk losing control of the car on a big bump by locking up the tire against the frame, or even ripping the tire apart if it gets cut open by something like a pinch weld of bolt stocking out. The other failure mode is that the frame hits the ground first, and that might even be worse. Countless videos online of slammed cars on the highway that just spin out when they hit a big enough bump and the chassis gets yanked to one side from scraping against the ground. You wouldn't want to gouge out that nice new exhaust either. This is REALLY important to check!

Jimmy mentioned Zilvia and Initial D - I’m sold lol. As someone that’s had 11 240SXs, this might be one of my favorite Donut vids ever. 🔥
I really enjoy the videos where they actually show the work being done, instead of just saying, now time for the coilovers, then cut to it being done
This is Donut. I love it. Lets keep this rolling guys! Lets keep building cars and not doing ridiculous things like ordering garbage from Wish.
24:35 what is that camera angle bro 💀💀
Now this... this I can get behind.
(also does the end hint at a temu 86 build??)
Would kill for any 86 build ❤
nah its a teaser for "Driving every Initial D Car" coming out in a couple days
Jimmy wearing the Iketani drip at the end was just the chefs kiss
Can't be anymore happy for you Jimmy. You're living all our dreams
Idk who can be upset at this. I wouldn’t want to keep my car stock either. And if you’re an owner of a clean survivor, maybe the value of yours just went up a few dollars
welding the diff in a car that has less power than my fwd diesel audi is idiotic, especially one youre not drifting
Yknow what cool it’s not your car and you’ll probably never own one like it 😮 enjoy your glorified Volkswagen
LETS GO JIMMY I SUPPORT THIS BAD IDEA
You meant good idea haha. He improved it didn't ruin it
I love what you did! Cars are meant to be driven and enjoyed! Your joy throughout the video was genuine! Congratulations!
lol 11:52 the mechanic looks like he's doing forced labor while jim is happy well rested no sweat and says "i think we keep on with are work today" lol
This is probably one of the best donut videos in recent memory
What's with all these 12 year old level comments....
You got it… they all 12
Sir, this is a UA-cam
You fit right in.
This is one of my favorite new Donut videos
Jimmy is so nice, one can't help but imagine him living a clean, wholesome life filled with healthy interpersonal relationships and a deep sense of meaning. Imagine Jimmy's surprise then, when after a full life he reaches the pearly gates, and sees his by then utterly trashed S13 Silvia waiting for him. St Peter then sends Jimmy on a long elevator ride down, not with his Silvia, but only an Easton fender roller, which will be his companion for eternity, as his rectum is stretched to clear every wheel ever devised by man or fallen angel.
Nothing but love for chasing the dream car. Surprised you don't have your own channel Jimmy after watching this. Incredible work.
8,000 Miles. Lucky.
It's not your car, people, shut up.
People really butthurt over a old nissan 😂 These cars are meant to be driven, thank god this car didnt end up to some jdm ”elitist” who drives it once a year.
I feel very proud of Jimmy for how far he's come. He's a full on host now, no pressure dude
That guy Kyle is so chill and calm man.. He's like a father helping and teaching his kids.
I can binge your vids all day!
nice try diddy
Dude took a car that was 90% unique and turned it into 95% of all Facebook marketplace listing’s for 500.
is that james AE86.? 35:12
I was just thinking that
Could be Tofu from Throttle House too
Thank you for another fantastic video Car Michael Cera!
Kudos to Jimmy for carrying out his vision for his Sylvia. A clean build with tasteful mods that can be enjoyed everyday.
13:43 hell yeah nerd out Jimmy
Yay it's Jimmy. Not that other weird guy..😂❤🎉
Awesome video, screw the haters! Jimmy does a great job as a host, keep up the good work boys!
You can really make a car a lot more enjoyable without modding the engine at all. Great thing to learn/share. Love it.
Jimmy is incredible, you can tell how much he loves this car and I am pumped to see him involved in more stuff.
I fuckin love seeing jimmy on vids
Nothing can be forgiven for running history but this I like.
11:42 The numbers Mason! What do they mean???
Gotta love a reference
I'll say it again, great little build Jimmy I think you nailed it.
Don't listen to the haters that are trying to kill the buzz. Also not sure if you are doing anything with the engine but I'd keep it simple and under powered because that will be so fun to rev out without getting speeding tickets
"All i found is misery" yeah, i feel that every time i try to fix something in my rustbucket and it doesn't go according to plan (it never goes according to plan)
Jimmy is Donut’s saving grace
Thank you! Dude idk why everyone is hating sooo hard out here. Jimmy is so much better than the new yakuza boi
