pet leveling is better for coins even in fiesta? i only do mining ob cuz of ping and i dont need to setup a lobby or find/pay for a grotto coord

Well gemstones are easily upwards of 40m/h for me, even with setting Up a Lobby its more than obby ^^

couple of things
owl pet currently is the best pet to level when obby mining, with it being 100m per level 100 and very cheap, it can almost net you 4 coins per exp
assuming decent rates at 2m+ pet exp an hour with taming 60 this is around 8-9m coins
obby collection at most can go up to 1.2m an hour, however 1-1.1m an hour is more accurate since its pretty mindless
when mining dont move your mouse around a lot it makes it take way more effort than needed, just look straight down and mine in the orange line by just holding direction keys, and when you use msb get a good route as well so you dont waste time looking at bedrock
and btw, there is no 50% mining exp boost pet item

u dont actually wanna just switch lobbys, u wanna get a skytils keybind to do /lobby and then just warp into sb as fast as u can, it safes the like 6 seconds from switching to a normal lobby, if ur really sweaty u can also use pickobulus too and switch between msb and picko for slightly better rates, i get about 1,2m obbi coll an hour with a gdrag and using /lobby

What would be the bare minimum to start this to get like 10m/hr whilst starting off or is there another way to save up money for the armour and equipment?

u need a very expensive gear to start off obi mining minimum u need is
655 drill
full divan / id say 5/5 slots with atleast flawless gems
blue cheese omelette ( impossible without )
an extra drill for drill swap can be any drill
and a good amount of powder like 4/4m minimum

yes, obsidian is worth it, always, unkillable, unbeatable, and full of raw coinage and pet leveling
edit: if you mine obsidian properly unlike this goofball who as you can see in the video is clearly losing out on at least 43.7% efficiency from the way he routes it, its over 2m xp per hour and 1.2-1.4m obsidian per hour

Well, obviously Im Not doing it with max efficiency as I did it for the first time. Also, it doesn't provide you any progression, even if you can bump up the rates by 40% or sth ^^

@@AlexxOffi i was more so saying it because you listed the rates for xp and money per hour wrong since you were inefficient and its good to let people know that they could do better (especially since i wouldnt want to mine 1000 hours of obsidian and lose out on 40% of the total collection/xp within that time)
