It's always fun to have flight sessions with friends who are into the hobby as well! They would even let you try different drones for testing! I don't have DJI FPV and I still got to experience flying it!
From my mom's basement: I was really surprised seeing Shawn struggle with powerloops ;-) . But that doesn't matter. Learning and improving is the funnest part of FPV. I know of two people who were real freestyle masters and who got bored and quit because they had the feeling they had "played through" FPV.
Definitely, learning and improving is always a ton of fun in FPV. It seems strange that such a simple trick like a powerloop can trip me up, sometimes. Obviously, I can do it, but, dialing them in to where I can pull them off cleanly on-demand every time is something I have been working on, lately. Thanks for the positive comment. :)
@@LetsFlyRC Maybe sims are inaccurate for this trick and all the sticktime in the sim has made it more difficult to pull it off in the real world. Also, that loop was very small and challenging. Personally, I learn fastest if I practice an easy version of a trick until I nail it every time before moving on.
I still can’t powerloop but I don’t care😅. I don’t have too much time for flying but when I do I enjoy it as I can. trying to do tricks that are very easy for many others is fun. Best fun is chasing others
People always say FPV is a hobby you make friends in... I have not and I am in LA. If anything no one wants to chill. I got into FPV because no one wants to hang out. It is a nice hobby to do alone. You leave the house. You have fun flying. You go home and edit. It would be nice to find other Tiny Whoop flyers out here but again... no one seems to be legitimately "friendly" in the scene out here.
For this mere mortal the fun is the grind. I'm constantly amazed at the beauty and grace of Bubby in pure proxy flow state or the brain burn you get after witnessing some Vanny technical wizardry made to look stupid easy (although he was human today modest even :). Drew and Shawn love you guys. No shame in our game. Going from knowing zip to clawing my way up to execution is the best part of this hobby. And with help from kwad gawds like Bubby Vanover Slatt Erodyo Steele etc. I have no doubt I'll continue improving as I emulate them. Thanks fellas I'm having way too much fun!
Hey I appreciate the fact there’s a guy more close to my skill level practicing with you guys. It’s more legit like real life. I thought him learning that power loop through the branch was very inspiring to me. That off axis tip was great. Thank you. I’m going to go learn that!
nice, when i saw someone doing a trippy spin 2 years ago i was like "ufo pilot", now i hear how to build up a proper forwards heading rubics cube, go outside and do it first try. really rewarding hobby
Really enjoy your content, gents. I'm an angle-mode, indoor duffer who flies a 2S LDARC platform that's a 5 year-old design [not a plug, just to indicate that I'm having to do my thing on the cheap]. I get inspired watching real experts do their magic. I know my limits, but your advice and examples have been, whenever applicable, adapted to fit my way of operating my toy. Most of your videos are master classes for this old git. Thanks much, and keep flyin'!
To help you out ... You can't do any tricks in angle mode. It stops you from doing even a roll or a flip. So, try flying in Acro mode. Whoops are the easiest to learn acro mode. Next, Bro, you've got to save your dough and get something newer and better than an LDARC quad. No offense, but even back 5 years ago, they were medicore quads at their very best. Not to intentionally knock what you've got, but they used old left over parts a ton back then, hence their mediocre performance and quality. So, I'd highly suggest getting a Mobula6, the new Mobula7 1s that just came out, or a Moblite6 or 7. Those are about as good a value and performance for the dollar, that a whoop can give you. And, only around $100 for any of those. Then, immediately 🛑 STOP 🛑 using angle mode! It prohibits you getting better ... It really does, because the quad is fighting your every move trying to continually stabilize the quad and keep it level. No one can fight what it's trying to make you do ... You don't want it's help - seriously! It's stopping you from progressing in your ability to control the quad and make it do WHAT YOU WANT IT DO TO. Bottom line: Do those two things, acro mode always, and get a quad that's decent performance and quality to help you get better. Hope this helps! 😎🤘
1. Buy a second quad. Until you have two, you won't risk the first. 2. Make yourself fly acro. It is surprisingly natural as it does ONLY what you tell it. It may be helpful to learn over grass. Indoors has lots of things to hit and less height to recover. Mixing acro and angle will slow down your progress.
@@KOrnhOliO1 to this I can attest, I've been flying 5" freestyle for like a month, flew one flight on angle and scrapped it, forced myself to fly acro and I've improved 10 fold in a couple of weeks. I've went from bending my mind just to fly to knife edging gaps, and practicing power loops etc in a matter of weeks. Taking the proverbial stabilisers of angle mode off is a mindset, but do it, you'll improve faster than you could imagine! From one new pilot to another, get out and rip!
I think I needed this lol. Iv lost all motivation to fly over winter this year and started flying rc trucks off of ramps lmao. Butan I wanna get back in the air so bad now.
I don't think I've ever clapped while watching a UA-cam video before but an instinctual one came out during some of that yaw track stuff... incredible flying...

I have been watching your videos for awhile and just took my maiden flight in acro (DJI FPV) today. Watching this video is giving me anxiety with all the obstacles you're dodging. I also got a delivery from rotor riot today with a CL1 that I am pumped to actually flying a real quad.

Is there such a thing as 6s motor or can motors used on 5 & 7 inch drone motors or is there a setup to configure to suite the motors
