Ive memorized every part of this dungeon. This dungeon is the bane of my existence at the current time. Im soloing this dungeon this week if it's the last thing I do. It's the bosses that trip me up
I spent a weekend trying to do this, took me about 10 tries, lots of stupid mistakes, died in ways I didn't even think possible because of lack of focus. died at the last boss a few times by either being stomped off while trying to dunk or blowing myself up with Dragons breath at the end of a damage phase.
I like this dungeon for soloing. The loot giving you your super over and over is what, in my opinion, makes it the least difficult dungeon to solo flawless. I went in as a solar warlock and had wells all the time. Also, my advice for the sparrow section is bring an auto loading GL with blinding nades. Hop off your sparrow at each capture point, snap off a nade, and get moving again real quick. My biggest problem was getting blown up by those dregs at each point. This solved it perfectly.
LMAO exactly like VOG in gorgom maze BS.. its always gets me too on the sparrow part.. this dungeon sparrow part makes every jumping puzzle on every dungeons & raids childs play..
One prep run to learn everything. One run where I was on my last final boss damage phase, I ran off a platform instead of jumping off of it and my pinky toe hit the water, run ruined. Got it the second run, was super calm, didn't really come close to dying at any point. Apotheosis veil, Well, Royal Executioner (Envious & Incandescent) and Dragon's Breath put in that work! I still have no idea how you do so much damage, mine took 4 phases for each of the bosses. The prep run with the traps was kind of hilarious ahahah Thanks for the guide, I think Spire is next!
i just hope that the community are way more people whose patient, forgiving & non toxic players because theres some people who not the smartest kid in the block, i mean they have a really hard time grasp everything even after i teaches them then some exp players left because of impatient, rage or something elses.
I got a soft spot for this dungeon since its the 1st one I finished solo (I'm a Solo player who wanted the Gjallarhorn bad). Finishing Grasp gave me the confidence to dip my toe in the other Dungeons and since I've solo flawless'd them all.
Almost got solo flawless on my warlock last night. Was on the last boss picking up engrams, tried to jump up to a platform, but got hit by that bug where sprinting down a slope will tell the game you're airborne and poofed right into the water and died instead. I'm still livid about it
I'm subbing you for this video.... Super helpful. I generally listen to videos on how to do stuff in my earbuds while I'm at work.... I didn't even see the video and feel like I really know what I'll be doing this afternoon.
Best advice I have is to practice the sparrow section and take your time. My solo flawless took 2 hours due to playing ultra safe ie nightstalker hunter/omni
important reminder for goa dungeon is always look at your burden debuff specially at avarok no matter what because the slightest silly mistake can ruin your entire flawless run and tips at avarok to make dps phase even more faster just simply shoot at 2 spot instead roaming entire arena because after shooting 1 scorch area another scorch area will be open again
Good builds, awhile back i was trying to see how well i could do for boss damage with a warlock threadling build using apotheosis veil and the strand icarus dash aspect to just generate as many threadlings as possible. Biggest issue i ran into was survivability against the ogre honestly
this gave me some better insight into prepping for my attempt at my first solo dungeon ill get flawless another time better walk before i can run haha great video tho i wasnt sure how many ritches to get for the ogre boss :)
I did this on Sunday and I’ll just say this that this dungeon is not fun at all. I can’t tell you how many times some bs would happen on the sparrow section and I also was killed multiple times cause despite me shooting the scorch cannon into the pod holding it down and then releasing at the proper time and it didn’t drop the burdens. The most demoralizing death was in the boss room when the boss was at a sliver of health after a couple of damage phases. I was going to the center after the burdens didn’t drop for me and got clipped by the yellow bar invisible dude towards the middle and died. This was by far my least favorite dungeon I’ve done solo flawless. Also keep in mind that all of the enemies also seem to have auto aim hacks especially the shank in the final boss room. Be careful during the sparrow section as I was blown up and my runs stopped cause the sparrow would land wrong on the other side of the big cannon and just blow up and immediately kill you. Good luck to all the guardians who will be attempting this and I hope you have patience for this one was a doozie.
I've never given it a try to Flawless this dungeon but I'm going to do so. The sparrow circuit is just too stupid, with random dregs shooting at you sometimes. I knew that getting 10 engrams instantly replenishes your Super so abusing it doesn't sound bad. First I'll do the dungeon solo just to remember all the shenanigans involved and then the solo run. Thanks a lot for the video and yes, the second encounter is boring lol
Two extra tips: 1) the shank R-M80 in the last boss room can be finished, even if way high in the air (wich is good, because killing him sucks as he is a bullet sponge). 2) I lost a solo flawless because the boss stomped me and I fell in the water, this is why I'm kinda afraid of using sword. I also died by a rocket when shooting from the cover in the back of the room. So, idk, use linear for boss dps? Also, Bungie said they'll buff the Hakke Breach Armaments to work with vehicles (in the 5 march uptade), so it'll be probably easier to kill the shank with a Hakke weapon, I guess. Extra: you can also kill the shank with the scorch cannnon, you shoot, hold the button until it charges 3 times and then release it, this way you don't need to use heavy ammo.
Having a sword is actually the best thing to have on any class if there’s a possibility of being booped off the map, you get an extra momentum boost with a sword swing for an extra chance to get back on the map. Also gotta time the sword swings as he stomps so you stick to him
I’ve always used sleeper for the last encounter and just well and stood behind the crystal. It works especially if you usually kill yourself with rockets/Glaunchers. It’s all about taking your time on flawless runs and not rushing and trying to go for that 2 phase every time. A lot of times you’ll run out of heavy and special and he’ll have a sliver of health left. Or if you’re doing any of the later dungeons you find yourself having to 4-6 phase bosses it’s all fine.
Did this solo flawless about a month ago. The only hard part is the sparrow part the rest is pretty easy. Did it in 97 mins. It was definitely worth the shader and the only reason i did it.
I've been trying this dungeon for months now, still can't get past the first boss room with the cyclops, I can't get anywhere near a 3 phase, let alone 4
there’s a more efficient way of doing it ogre with hunter, dragons breath, cartesian, blade barrage w/ shards of galanor, you can get up to 2 supers off
Dragon’s Breath… and the Ogre sprints at you right before the rocket explodes. Haha. He did that to me yesterday… damage started and dude turned into Usain Bolt. I was with my pals, so I just sacrificed myself and shot the thing anyway.

Sorry I'm didn't know they auto deposit I was walking around the whole map looking for something that would let me hold down 🟥 to deposit and then I kept dying while running out of the buff from the fake engrams
Abuse super - dragons breath boss. Use engrams to repeat. If on titan use your shield when deposting. I used void so had an overshield most of the time. I dont have the patience for SF but solo is really doable and i am just an average player.
So far IVE tried olo flawlessing Grasp, Spire, Shattered Throne, warlords ruin, and prophecy. Ive only gotten one of these... I'm guinely close to getting a clear on spire, I usually die to something stupid like Pheonox diving off the map in 2nd encounter or turning a corner into a suplicant in boss. Grasp I got close as well, just forgot about banking the buff in the boss room. Do you have any recommendations for it or is it more of a practice makes perfect type of deal?
Yes, practice makes perfect. I have a spire guide coming but not for a few weeks unfortunately. But my recommendation is to practice each boss fight numerous times to get your strats down. Doesn't really matter what DPS and getting to DPS strat you go with. Just do what makes you comfortable. Then when you do solo flawless, it'll be second nature and shouldn't feel too hard.
This dungeon is fun and easier than Duality except for the sparrow part. I have spent more time on that sparrow crap run during a solo than the boss fights.
During the final encounter you can just collect the orbs from the left an middle you never have to go to the right side an you dont have to kill the shanks n other guy if your good enough lol
"if you’re good enough" there a thin line between good enough and stupid 🤣 why would you risk your SF when you can just pop your super and erase the mini bosses
"Anyways, enough complaining about this dogshit encounter..." My feelings about a great deal of Bungie's content. There are a few spectacular outliers but the rest do feel tedious and lazy just to waste my time.
It’s not that hard if you practice it. Good way to avoid getting destroyed by bosses is stunlocking them with dragons breath. Also always carry a healing grenade
