As a nine year old this and 1989 Donruss were the first packs I ever got! I love both designs though I'm not sure how popular they are in the broad collecting community as of course I gotta be careful about nostalgia bias!
Oh I love this grand old set! I love it so! The first wax packs I ever ripped were '86 Topps but I started hittin it hard, real hard in 1988. It was a an amazing year to be 12😁 Oh and also, props to you for including the Gary Sheffield and the Pete Rose in the edit. Very tasty touch. Somewhere somebody has bricks and bails of Greg Jefferies from this one. Still sitting on them.
You can get a pretty good idea of current selling prices by checking out recent "sold" listings on eBay. Here is the link for 1989 Topps complete sets ... www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=1989+topps+baseball+complete+set&_sacat=0&rt=nc&LH_Sold=1&LH_Complete=1
