I was literally getting ready to pause to type a question about if you needed to put cards in the order they were on form when you mentioned that. Great timing and instructions on the steps.
Hey partner, new to the channel, loved the vid. It was super helpful. Just to let you know, when I did my PSA submission, first time ever today, they changed the form so you don’t have to put the number of orders or anything anymore. Not sure if that’s helpful or not but I tried lol. Love your content, hope to see many more and see more of your graded submissions. Thanks again ✌🏼✌🏼
Man..I called PSA to ask how to put my barcode on the box and a guy told me I could use clear tape over the label…I really, really hope they don’t kick it back. Super nervous about that! Everything else I followed 100%.
Any website you recommend to see rough estimate value for Pokémon and sports cards? I’d love to send cards in I have 150 original Pokémon in English and Japanese and also have a few NFL cards. Absolutely NO IDEA what any are worth lol
Amazing video! Very insightful, helpful, and entertaining! I laughed way to hard at the pants gag and the building the box gag. 10/10 would reccommend.
Thanks for the video, super helpful! Just one question, when you get your cards back, from paying the $15, you get them back in the protective sleeve?!
Great video. The cuts for humor are all epic, and you have great timing. I know this video is a year old when I'm discovering it, but thanks for the help, and great job.
Can you submit two different orders and send in one box? Let’s say you want one that you want to grade quicker. If so, do you place both of the outside box bar codes on there?
Very helpful…could you elaborate on the amount we need to add for what we think the cards will be worth? That’s the entire reason why I’m sending the cards in to be graded so I can then see what they should be worth? So I’m confused. My estimate could be off by hundreds based on the grade?
Yeah, I would recommend putting it in a penny sleeve first. Regardless it is coming out of the original wrapping so I would rather do it myself because you don't want the PSA employees damaging it.
I don't understand what pirate ship is and how it works, and also where do i take my package after i put all the labels. Do I just take it to my local usps? is there like a drop off area?
You have to put the estimated value as if it got graded, they are pretty lenient with what you put, but for example if you put $100 and it gets graded and it’s like $1000 they will charge you extra for that card! It’s really for insurance purposes for your package when they send it back to you
I'm a beginner and can only afford to grade one or two cards at a time. Can you provide a video on how to do that. Basically, it's the shipping and packaging process. Thanks, keep up the good work.
My wife's sister's son owns a card store here in Arkansas. He charges people about $22 per card and sends them all in a group sub with a few other stores. It takes about 30 days for them to get back. And just because he charges people $22 does it mean that it cost him $22 to send each one I believe the store owner only gets charged somewhere between $18 and $20 per card. Sometimes folks get up charged though if they have a super card. He has me go and get the package from Memphis and then bring it back to the store. Last time somebody didn't get their card graded because it had cut corners. I'm pretty sure it was a Mickey Mantle rookie. Kind of felt bad for the dude.
@@cranescollectibles yes, insurance is very important. I believe the the box the shop send off gets insured for a hundred thousand dollars or some crazy number. Lol
I for sure will! And usually for the extra thick cards that won’t fit in the card savers, you can send them in a top loader or one touch and they won’t care
I think for those who are living in Asia and wants to ship their cards to PSA, do you have any idea which address should they ship to ? USPS or Fedex could be costly for them and there are cheaper alternatives such as EMS. Thanks
I believe PSA has divisions in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo so what’s where people in Asia can ship them to for cheaper! You would have to look it up on their site to see if there’s addresses of those divisions
I'm in the process of doing my first submission so I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure to take advantage of the discount you have to have a minimum of like 15 to 20 cards being graded at value service or higher. You would have to pay full price for individual cards
Thanks for this! First time submitting. Very helpful. Just to be clear, if I have 2 submissions going in the same package (TCG Bulk and Value), would I put 1 or 2 under "Total # of orders included in this package" on the submission form?
I'm a new collector. What's a good site or app to get current values BEFORE submitting to PSA? I'm finding this to be a frustrating step in this process. Thank you.
A bit over the top but decent explanation. Based on the value of the average person's time and effort and such it seems that it would only be worth it to get a card graded if its worth in excess of $100+/- and you are positive that it will sell. Which means that over 90% of the cards you see on Ebay (that are graded) are a loss for the seller.
What kind of service level do you choose through pirateship? I know if you get the Priority Mail Express from usps it will get there in a day or 2? also they don't care if you use a usps box ?
I usually use priority because it gets there faster! It just depends if you want to spend the extra money! And they don’t care! You can use a usps box or any ordinary box with no lettering on it!
This video helped me out, just pulled a Pokémon 151 Charizard EX SAR and two Erika invitation full art SAR and I was confused on the declared value part because I was entering $700 an $400 but it wasn’t working 😂😂 so thank you for sharing about the submit for $199 and u may be up charged. This is the first card I’m ever trying to submit in my life!

But where’s the vid that shows us all the tips/tricks in ensuring we’re selecting the best cards for grading, then how to best prepare each one prior to sleeving & packaging? Especially those of us who are about to send sports cards from 80s, 90s, early 2000s . My cards are M/NM & have been stored in excellent conditions - but I’m about to send to PSA & I need high grades on the Jordan’s, Durant’s, LeBron’s, Kobe’s, Olajuwon’s, etc, with this first submission to justify continuing to grade cards from a massive collection. I don't understand the insurance aspect of all of this, do i have to pay insurance on every single card, after already paying to have them graded? How much does it cost and can I choose not to pay this? Or will they just hold my cards forever?
The reason you have to pay insurance is because it is a liability shipping high values cards through the mail. It doesn't cost too much (depending on how much you sent out)
When you submit cards to be graded, do they send the card savers, penny sleeves etc that you shipped cards in back when they ship graded cards back to you? Just curious. Thanks
It hasn't been an affordable hobby for most people to properly enjoy for a long time now. As for the grading racket: They make money if your cards are perfect. They make money if your cards are in bad condition. Anything you do with your cards besides admire them is an investment Only consider the best of the best for grading.
So theoretically if I had a holo Charizard from the base set in 1999 it wouldn’t be worth it to grade it? Considering if it comes back as a 9-10 I would need to pay a massive fee?
Well theoretically, if you did have a charizard that is a potential 9-10 you could send it in the regular service ($75) or the express service ($150) because that card has a higher declared value, so spending around $100 to get a $1500+ card is definitely worth it!
THANK YOUUUUUU. for the longest time i been searching the web to see if PSA provides the shipping label when your finish you submission and everywhere just says "attach submission ID label out side and ready to ship". i been thinking no shipping label? where the shipping label. weird. but your video clarifies it thank you! doing my 1st submission
Question! I heard PSA may or may not grade customs. Since mine is a sports card from a very small college and not “official”, any tips to getting customs graded?
You should let people know that to get the best prices they need to become members of PSA for the 99.00.
Smart idea Gary! Totally left that part out!
