You have created a gem here. Enjoyed the map overlays with trail progress. At times digging through and organizing past footage can be tiresome, but there is no trace of that here. Keep hiking. Keep filming. We're watching.
This is a really fantastic and helpful video! I'm planning to thru hike the SHT next summer after doing a section hike through Temperance this year. Really helps visualize what the trail is going to look and feel like.
We've hiked about 50-60 miles of the SHT so far and have seen many of the points highlighted in this vid. Thank you for the validation of our choices, and thank you this fantastic summary of the SHT!
Loved the unique way you put this video together. Definitely appreciated some of the tips you gave along the way. I'm planning to hike the trail in late August 2020 and will be using your videos to plan my hike. Thanks a ton!!
Damn man, I just watched this again since I’ve been home on injury this week and this video has me so motivated to get back out on the trail next week! This really was some of your best work! 👍🏼
Amazing work. Thanks for the time in pulling this together. Can't wait to check out your other content as I prep for my first trip to the SHT...hopefully at some point this year.
Great video, very professional, reminds of Rick Steves travel logs on PBS. Thank you for all the hard work that goes into making a video like this, thoroughly enjoyed it.
Hey Jeremy I’ve been in that tower way back in 1980. I had a buddy from Grand Rapids Minnesota and I went up there for a couple of weeks and went to Duluth. Long way from Texas
Wow. Great video. I can't imagine the time it took you to put all these clips together. Thanks for sharing.. Just a question, how did you make the map with the moving "line"?
Great video, you’ve inspired me to get out on this trail. I’ve seen the suggestions to hike in Sept/Oct. How is the trail in May? Can I thru-hike before the mosquitos take over? What are the temps?
I am hoping to take a month and hike this. Where can I resupply along the 300 miles? I know I may have to take a few spurs but I can't carry food for 25 - 30 days. Can you give me make a map with locations of where I can find water to filter? Mark Best Camping spots etc. :)
I’m planning to work my way up to the Appalachian trail in several years. I’m going to work through the SHT in the spring. Where would you recommend a start point northbound or southbound? Also I think I’ll do a section this fall yet Do you have any recommendations?
I found late August and all of September to be pretty solid. Early October is also nice but you run the chance of some pretty bad storms and cold weather
August and September have the best weather and the fewest bugs with late fall flowers. But the spring green up in late May early June is so lovely but you risk mosquitoes.
The map you added to the bottom of the screen was fantastic for point of reference
Very good short overview and very well put together, holds your attention.
Great video, love the animation. We have done many sections. Thanks for the vid.

exceptional content Midwest Backpacker. I shattered that thumbs up on your video. Keep up the great work.

When this is over and we all can get out. The trail is calling.
Well done! Gets me more excited to start my 3rd trip on the trail next month. Hoping to complete the entire trail over the next several years.
What a great compilation!
Wow!!!! Great job!!!! Thanks for sharing!👍👊

Well done good sir!!! Love the map animation, I may need to talk to you about how you did that!
A bear got your food? That requires more than a sentence. Lol.

7:10 you go by a structure that’s destroyed now. I think a tree came down on it.

Easiest to get shuttles from Harriet near Grand Marais or Cadillac cab near silver bay. Most through hikers go south bound.
When is the best time of year to hike the trail? Temperature, bugs, bears, etc.? Great video. Thanks for doing it.
Late September. Thanks for watching.

What is your favorite section?
Justin Anderson Judge Magney to Beaver Bay! 😜
