You got a new subscriber you really show the minnesota beauty, I had been hesitant on a hiking trip up there but after watching this I will be taking a trip with the pup
Hi, Out and About! This is Ruthless from the Florida trail. Now you’ve got me convinced that I need to do this trail sometime, definitely in the early autumn. It was fun watching your video. I felt like I was walking the trail right there with you.
After watching this video I now have the itch to get back out on the SHT, but it is -1 degree right now. I wish I had the time to thru hike the SHT but for now have to settle on section hiking it. It was great to see places that I have been on the trail and to say, hey I remember that spot. New subscriber!! I like your photography and editing along with mu sic choice. Keep up the great work.
@outandabout53 My group winter camps, but I don't think I want you to be that isolated out in this cold. I like that you did the Duluth section as most people skip it, most likely due to sleeping logistics, but I like it so far. I think it's something you can't miss. I've heard a few skip from Martin Road to Gooseberry as it's boring and only in the woods with no views. The time you did it, the colors were your view. Oh yeah, a friend of mine said he gave you a hitch to trail days this year. HeadNorth Mike McKay!! He is a great guy!!
@outdooradventureswithshane3319 heck. Yeah! Head North is dope! Honestly, I loved walking through Duluth. The city is beautiful, you get great views of the lake, and there’s more than enough options for delicious food. I mean sure, there may not be big vistas in that section, but there’s always cool little things to appreciate and relish
@@rashaski it’s such a beautiful trail. I highly recommend doing the full hike and continuing through Duluth. The waterfront walk is wonderful and the access to food and town stuff is ridiculously convenient. I’m super excited for the two of you!
Enjoying the video. What dates, from when to when? It's like a rewind on my fall. I haven't done the whole trail yet, but hope to. For sure fall came a little late in 2022. It's my favorite time of the year, so I plan vacations around it. I was at that high point shortly after you based on the colors. Thanks for sharing.

It’s a great trail 10/10.
I can see why you’d keep coming back
That was so good. 😊
Glad you liked the journey

That’s a little chilly for my gear at the moment too.
At least with section-hiking, you can pick the perfect times of year to get out

Awesome video; your positivity on the trail was cool to see.
I couldn’t hold back. That trail, especially during the peak colors, was 10/10!
@@outandabout53 Your video convinced me that I have to do it. My husband and I want to try it in fall 2025 (when we have enough time off saved up).

I haven't been there for years. Was the "bad boy" red mountain Mt Trudee? Great film. It's going on the playlist for times of anxiety! Thanks!
It’s a go to for me to get a nice calming dopamine hit too 🤪
I really can’t remember what mountain it was; it’s been a few miles since then
Just subscribed and enjoyed the video! SHT on the bucket list. Thanks for sharing!
It was awesome! 10/10! Glad you liked the vid

Oh hell yeah I know what I'm doing in sep-oct when did you go ??
I did it in the middle of October.
New sub from circle pines mn
I miss me some MN sometimes
How many people were at the campsites with you on average?
@@jakeva9802 usually nobody, but I did run into a couple of groups
what was your average mileage for a day? looking at the elevation profiles its hard to tell what kind of pace you could maintain.
I shortened my normal average to around 15/day. I was having such a great time checking out spur trails and waterfalls!
The music. Why?
It’s one of VERY limited free music I had options of; I’m new to making videos and haven’t figured out how to do it better….yet
@@outandabout53 just skip the music altogether and let beautiful nature take over
You need to was some of the grease off your face.
Too bad there aren’t showers at every campsite
