SuMetal's voice gets better and better as the years roll by. IMHO her vocals are the best thing about BabyMetal. - I love how their playful bonkers genius is such a great gateway for a wider audience to appreciate Japan and its music scene. - They seem such genuinely nice, grounded people too. Great ambassadors. - Nice-1.
Agree, and the live versions of the songs are 100% better than the albums.
Kami band is by FAR the best thing on babymetal tho
@@jmm00702 I don't like to compare. Yes kami band is godlike but Su's vocals are also inhuman, like. Akatsuki, rondo of nightmare and anything really, they're just not one without the other.

Excellent footage of the band. The ladies are always awesome, but I need more shots of the band doing their thing. Bummer they lost their one lead guitar player, but I am sure he is smiling down from above every time they all play together.
I like to think he is still there on the stage during the performances.
Where else would Mikio want to be?

The footage is good. But it does bugs me that the footage does not always match to what they are playing. But the band is excellent and I really enjoy them!
@@Darthera It's because babymetal's producer or whatever is very quick to delete your videos. So everyone uses a compilation of dozens of performances so the video stays up, it's the only way babymetal fans found on how to get past copyright.

Slap that bass like a delirious funky priest. I'm a drummer myself but I love a good bass solo. That's was dope!
3:24 that european industrial metal style, 3:44 the same kind of ska feeling but heavier, 04:01 breakdown into chorus, at 4:53 look at that progression and arrangements, so atmospheric, and carries all the way over to the final chorus, write the damn songs like that again dammit, also 05:31 that's beautiful, look at that 2000's ending then goes back to playful with european disco/techno.

Really, just an amazing band. It's a shame they wear those fox masks in the newer version of the band. I liked seeing the individual players as part of the group, instead of just the backup band.
it’s not them, the fox masked band is just for stage filling purpose only, they’re not really playing, there’s tracks playing in the back
@@rihwanullukman2312 They are absolutely playing. Its just that kami band couldn't go on tour but that doesn't mean the fox masked lads arent playing live.
@@rihwanullukman2312 You're thinking of Baby Bones. Fox mask bad is the Western Kami Band for when the Eastern Kami Band can't make their western shows. Hence the name.
@@diontaeshuron3950 Eastern Kami Band also use the same mask when they are performing now, just like they did on 10 Babymetal Budokan concert this year in Tokyo.
@@289910hatk such a shame. Why did the producers decide to put masks on their faces? To focus more or Su and Moa? Seeing the musicians play and enjoy was a part of the experience. I don't know what I feel about this now.
I love this song so much. Who'd ever think that kawaii-ska-metal would work? Combine that with an amazing choreography, makes this totally amazing.
My friends think I’m crazy with this group, but the way they go from Ska-to-Slam-Yo-Head is simply amazing. I love the the band and the way the music makes use of breaks and pauses and build ups. Great Stuff. Great Music. Great Band. Great Singers. The Fox God was genius with this.
I think kami band members are so talented that they can even mix sca with tango with metal with whatever, and will sound awesome!!
It's the genre you didn't know you needed and would heal your soul until it does. This song combines like everything we've ever loved about music into a single track. I love them so much.

The best performance of Babymetal is when YUI-METAL is in the band. She was the star in this video. Also the camera is balance coverage for all the girls when YUI is in the band.
This video is compilation of at least of 3 different performances (note different costumes and different guitars in Mikio's hands), one of it without Yui.

IMO it's not about anything in particular, just about being very indecisive and overthinking the right choice ;)
As is the case with any high quality art this great song has multiple layers of meaning.
Despite being one of my all-time favorites by BM translating it into my native language (polish) gave me most troubles.
On the surface it looks like a simple song about indecisiveness (about chosing chlothes, meal, leisure activities etc.)
If You scratch deeper there are hints of standing up as an individual against pressure of the society.
I personally see this as a jab at the people who use stereotypes and say things like: "all girls are the same", " all Japanese are the same", "all Asians are the same" or "all metal bands are the same" 😉
Long story short: almost every BabyMetal songs are rather deep with multiple meanings (even though the group denies it sometimes), they are full of puns and references, thus they are open for interpretation. One thing these songs have in common (in most cases) is uplifting, positive message 😀
