From my farm to your home. 🏡
My name is Kaleb Wyse and here, you will find delicious recipes, videos from my farm, garden, and fun home projects. My knowledge has been earned from years of home cooks and farmers in my family. wyseguide.com
A farm is much more than a house to live in; it’s a lifestyle. My passion for gardening and landscaping came from outdoor work with my mom in our expansive farm yard, my love for baking came from innumerable short walks to my grandma’s house to make cookies, and as a farmer, my dad taught me that we are the stewards of our land.
So whether you live in a city center or have decided rural life is for you, I hope to inspire you with the projects and recipes I use in daily life. We can’t all live on a farm, but we all need farms in our lives. From the dirt in my vegetable garden to the flour in my kitchen, I’ll show you everything I love to do.
Honest to God Kaleb, your place is like a museum…it’s absolutely beautiful….what a great job you did! I love it…❤
I agree!
I love him ❤❤ he just make your heart happy
If you want to be really organic and eradicate those Japanese Beetles forever, get yourself a couple of ducks. They will eat the larvae, like they are candy, as well as other nasty bugs, won't hurt your plants, or flowerbeds, and are super fun to watch. Just a kiddie pool and a predator safe sleeping area, and they are very low maintenance. Not to mention the eggs, yum!
Wow…idk that. Great advice!
That would be the sweetest addition to his yard! I love this idea!
I also saw some type of bags, people hang them around the garden (they are secreting some type of hormone or something that attracts Japanese beetles) and after they get filled up they feed them to chickens!
Ugh, ducks make a huge, disgusting mess.
I think ducks would be an excellent solution to the Japanese beetle problem! They would gobble up those bugs like nobody’s business! And their droppings would fertilize your garden!
Kaleb, what’s become of the cat that you owned? I haven’t seen her walking about your garden?
Your place is amazing Kaleb! I’m from the country and your yard is my dream yard. I’m a plant nut and you can name off all of them. So impressive. Love your videos ❤
Absolutely beautiful! I love how you decorate the outside too! 💚
Have you ever heard of old-fashioned hollyhocks they would look beautiful growing up the side of that building with their spears and all their flowers on them and they come in different colors. They are perennial they come year after year bigger and more beautiful.
I love your garden with all of the beautiful plants and antiques!
A little piece of heaven❤😊ThankYou Sweet Man for taking me along🌹
I have hummingbirds that LOVE the HOSTA blooms. I never cut them.
First, I'd like to say I love watching your videos. Just a gentle reminder that we love watching the progress, and I get wanting projects done, but you two should give yourself credit for the incredible progress you've made. Don't wish your days away. We love watching each step. Thank you so much for sharing.

Stunning! Just so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your beautiful property with us. 💚
I REALLY ENJOYED THIS VIDEO 😊 Watched it around 3 times back to back 😅
Amazing tour. I love how Kaleb mostly relies on perennials for his garden. It is more efficient and sustainable, more natural 👌🏻
I just love that nice deep setback of your porch! What a great place to sit & enjoy the sunrise & sunset.

Those cabbages are gorgeous! 😃
I’m from FM, but now live in OH. I love seeing your gardens. Thankfully, my parents are still in our home there, and I can enjoy the IA fertile soil. Thanks for posting all the views and information. You are appreciated.
All your hard work has certainly created a beautiful wonderful space.!!!!!!!!!!Thanks for sharing your journey ❤️😊

I LOVE IT ALL!
. I applaud all your hard work, You are so dedicated to your gardens.
Just beautiful!!!!❤
You're very humble, you really are a very thoughtful and creative Master Gardner!!!
Very well done 😊
Kaleb: Thank you, for your garden tour, and with land recently cleared out I am always looking for new ideas and what to plant in the garden. You are a great vegetable gardener, and your cabbage looks beautiful! Your limelight hydrangeas are gorgeous and like the idea of how you think about new and interesting finds at flea markets and like your newly painted green bench. You put a smaller & lovely bench in your garden and have made a cornerstone garden come alive. Your fountain that you see from the kitchen is a fun idea. A great aspect of gardening is we can always keep dreaming and with enough land to work on our projects are never completed! Your containers are all exceptionally designed and like the way your porch is decorated with so many plants! Is that a white bird of paradise in the background? Your lawn looks lush & beautiful. Had mine aerated so is looking good but will put a weed & feed down in the fall. Right now, wiping out weeds in the driveway & will have new gravel put down w>Nellis Landscaping. Thanks for sharing all of your many gardening ideas & ENJOY!
You have exquisite taste, inside and outside your house. A pleasure to view!
I’m with you on this and keep a take-out soup container of soapy water in my garden all summer. When I see one, in it goes. I’ve noticed that after following this method for four or five years I have less and less Japanese beetles in my garden. If you keep on top of them they don’t have a chance to breed and lay eggs, disrupting their reproductive cycle. FYI, never ever use the traps as they attract many more beetles to your garden and you pay the price for years to come. I know from past experience. Evil beetles!
Iowan here too. I've noticed they like sweet potato vine and it draws them in so I quit growing that in my flower bed. Haven't seen any this yr except for a green looking one I plucked off. Earwigs are a huge problem this year because of all the rain we've had. Ants are a pain too.
What a beautiful yard you have, wow, your garden shows how much you love doing this. I love your videos. Kaleb I have watching your videos for quite awhile, I love your christmas shows, those are my favorite. You are so talented. You always put a smile on my face. You make it like we are actually walking with you through your beautiful yard. Your doing a great job my friend.
Thank you so much! I love knowing that I'm bringing joy. 😊
Amazing is all I can say! Your garden and gounds are magnificent, and I actually felt like I was there in eastern Ohio when viewing this particular presentation! Thanks!
Great garden walk Kaleb! Would love if you'd offer a personal garden walk, tour and chat with your local gardening followers😉 I'm in Johnson County and shop alot of your local places too. You have done an amazing job in both you and your Mom's yards! Work, Relax & Dream in your wonderful space🤗
Love seeing the progress of the beds. I’m too inpatient, and seeing how your beds are maturing help me know my new plants will get there in time. Your gardens are amazing!
Wow, your yard and gardens look fantastic. It is like Paradise. I just want to walk barefoot on your beautiful green grass. I learn so much about plants from you. I love that you call everything out by name. I love those chairs. Perfect spot to sip a tall glass of lemonade on a hot day!!
What a beautiful garden 😍
The most AMAZING property!!❤
Your flowers and different gardens are so beautiful! I know they are a lot of hard work, but very satisfying. Thank you for sharing your update.
Thanks for sharing your beautiful yard/garden. Veronica is a real beauty!
You are like me!! Or the other way around….lol. I have to bend over and pull weeds if I see them. I catch myself on my walk grabbing weeds!! I have to stop myself..🤣
Thanks for sharing Kaleb! Your vision and hard work has paid off and I am impressed and LOVE it. Well done! You must be so proud. 🙂💚💙👍👏🙏
Gorgeous yard & gardens. Thanks for the tour.
Everything is looking just amazing.
It looks fantastic! However, just a thought. You might want to create a conversation arena on the side by combining the bench and chairs together. Or create some white space on the front porch. All beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
Absolutely stunning garden. Loved the tour 💚💚
You make my day, such joy!
Glad I found your channel. I’m in NE Nebraska. 😆🌽 Everything looks great!!
Your gardens are looking fabulous Kaleb! I love watching plants fill in! Way to go and thanks for sharing!
i cannot grow any of the plants you do because I live in the tropics, but I see your specific combinations of texture and the levels yu create in your garden and that inspires me to choose plants that create that look, so thank you so much for the marvelous inspiration.
Thanks for the tour! Gorgeous!!
You are one rare guy making all the salsa, mustards and canning! Most guys wouldn't have a clue!
That's great!
my mom always put Palmolive detergent in a sprayer that is attached to a water hose. The bugs hated the taste and left the plants/fruit/vegetables alone. If it rained, the garden would suds up and she would respray after the plants dried off. Worked really well and to this day I follow her lead.
Your gardens are so beautiful! Ps...I made your house pepper mustard today and it is sooooo delish!
What a beautiful gardens you have kaleb stunning ❤️😊
Kaleb could we see your plant room where you over winter your plants? I'm having a hard time picturing it. Love all of your plants. I'm from MN and also struggle with the beetles. Makes me sad with all the work we put into the plants.
If you search "moving all my plants Wyse" on UA-cam, you should be able to find a longer video of me talking about wintering my plants from a few years ago.
Your July Garden looks beautiful! Thanks for sharing :)
Wow your garden really evolve , it so beautiful .
Everything looks beautiful ❤️
you should try using milky spores to kill the grubs in the ground and maybe add Japanese beetle trap in the growing season to capture the adults.
Beautiful. Thank you for sharing. Your gravel path is so ambitious, and I love it. I have 2 acres and am going in the meadow garden style with select conifers for punctuation. I have to keep it low-maintenance. happy gardening!
what a beautiful garden, wish you had more climbing roses tho
I love this video your garden looks stunning and gorgeous. You work very hard and it shows because it looks awesome. Thanks so much for sharing ♥️ Kabel ❤❤❤❤❤
My neighbor uses a shop vac, works really good for any bug that is eating your garden.
Absolutely beautiful!❤
Thank you for sharing, beautiful job & lots of work!
Great garden tour!
Hey, I just love you. All of your gardens are amazing. 😊I would love to set out there .❤😊🥒🫑🍅🌻🌺❤❤😂😂
absolutely gorgeous!!
I live in San Diego, California and I love watching garden tours from the same time of year around the world. It's so cool to see which plants can grow in different zones and to see some plants I've never heard of before. Keep the updates coming! Japanese beetles are a constant battle in my neck of the woods!
Japanese Beetles start out as grubs in the grass. You've got to eliminate them in the grass to break their life cycle.
Peach mandevilla!! Haven't seen that before.
i have two plastic coffee container filled with soapy water in 2 garden locations. I go out twice daily and knock them off into the bucket. this fall we will be treating grass with milky spore.
Beautiful garden!
Love the Culver's root and all the perennial beds Kaleb!!! Goals!!
Great shot of the back of your house, adding those widows over the stairwell and office area must give you great views when working upstairs.
Your gardens are looking gorgeous. I love all your garden statuary and urns! Those willow chairs are beautiful too!
Kaleb, you do a wonderful job. Thanks for taking us on a tour. 😊
As the great Fonz would say: whoa
I am sure you are so proud of your property. You have done an amazing job! It must be so nice to be able to improve your "grandma house'. Thanks for sharing! I look forward to all your videos.
😃
I always tell myself I'm going to pinch my basil flowers back but it smells so good I let them grow and my basil still grows. It's Thia Basil maybe that's different. It's Florida too. It's a big plant had it for awhile. Still use it to cook.
Very inspiring!
So beautiful...love how calming your garden looks. Great job!!!!
The pollinators love the hosta blooms so I leave them until they start to phase out.
😊Great tour thank you
Two years ago, I planted a Mandevilla in a deep Red color. Oh my goodness, that thing grew up around my drain spout and across the top of the sliding glass doors. People would stop and ask me what the plant was. I was so proud of myself..🤣 I’ve never had one do that since, but I always buy one every year, and watch it grow and bloom. What a beautiful plant it is…..
You have me falling in love with succulents ❤❤❤
Me too..but I always over tend them not good
Fabulous.❤
❤WOW, Everything is Absolutely beautiful . ❤
As always, it is fun to see what is going on in your gardens. I especially enjoy your flea market finds. I spray the soapy water on the Japanese Beetles with a bucket for them fall into. One year, they took out my neighbor's strawberries. They seem to be random in what they attack.
Kaleb I love your garden. I wonder if you might have a recipe for fig jam? Thanks 😊
Absolute gorgeous! All of it! ❤
You have a beautiful plot of land there.. I've been watching your gardens grow for years now.. what a magical paradise you have created..
Such a beautiful gardens thank you for sharing your wonderful hard work
Have you ever thought of making the entrance to the front door not entering from the side? Our house is the same way and we and guest use the side door, never the front door. This side entrance is through the hall that has a half bath, laundry rm, and then into kitchen. Maybe your home is diff. Maybe you could talk about how you could do that plz. Would be a giant undertaking!
Nice video.
Love your garden and creative ideas for containers! Try and avoid squeezing the Japanese beetles, just knock them into the water, if you squish them they give off their smell which attracts their friends😮😼first thing in the morning they are less likely to fly too! 🇨🇦
Yes here in Switzerland you could rent ducks from the farmer . They are so cute and the eat bugs and snails, the plants they leave them alone. You have to have something for them to protect them and water
Love this style of video!! ❤❤
