Doing My FIRST TATTOO Whilst Sailing In The Pacific Ocean (EP 30)

- Welcome to another update from Elixir's voyage!
In this video we sail to the Nicoya Peninsula in Costa Rica and visit the Sail Cargo yard, where a team of foreign boatbuilders are constructing Ceiba, a 45m sailing cargo vessel made entirely of wood grown in Costa Rica.
We pick up three of the boatbuilders and sail north to the surfer town of Samara. Layla, Elixir's newest crew member is a Swiss tattoo artist from Geneva, and she decides to make the most of a calm day in the Pacific by giving tattoos to a few people onboard (and letting me tattoo her too).
If you are worried about hygiene, don't be. Layla is a professional and she made sure the space was clean before any tattooing was done, as well as administering correct after care.

Hello Elixir and Captain. I've just watched all your episodes to date. If you haven't, you should check out sailing Yaba here on youtube. They are in South America rebuilding a massive sail boat. Not quite from scratch, but very nearly. Beautifully executed , produced and narrated.

So bad ass, I’ve done 14 tattoos on friends and have several “organic” designs on myself. I hope that trend continues when I put my boat back in the water and make some memories stick. Maybe I can get a genuine Max “x” at sea someday lol

Hey! Yeah I have a body weight routine I can do on the boat. Also if possible I will swim ashore to the nearest beach
