I learned SO much from this tutorial... not just the shelf that I was using wrong, but I didn't know about holding the cursor low and it won't snap to the things beside it! With the shelf, I just thought you moved it around and then changed the color to make it invisible, so I couldn't understand how people use it and it not count as CC. This is just a great video! I’ve seen many of these red shelf tutorials but I still couldn’t get it to work the same so I just gave up and deleted it. Thank you for the extra explanations, now I will try again and come back to see if something doesn’t work for me again so I can see your tip to making something work.

This is such a good tuorial, the only promlem is that I do not have a 'modes' folder for some reason so I have no idea where to take this to activate it in the game...
Any ideas on what to do when the shelf doesn't show up in build/buy? I downloaded the mod and put it in the proper place, already had mods/CC enabled in game because I have tons more downloaded, but when I search for shelf and click on text search for shelf, it does not show up in the list. It's just... not there. I've checked all over build/buy and can't find it anywhere. I have no idea why... this is the first thing I've downloaded that just doesn't work.

just delete it once you are finished using it! if you keep it, your build will be labelled as “including custom content” so remove it for a clean gallery upload!
hello, i love your video and the instructions are very clear. thank you so much for making this. But i got a problem with the red shelf when i want to place items on my fridge. it works on other surfaces like the chair and table. but for some reason the object snaps to the wall whenever i pull it away from the red shelf ( to any objects on my kitchen, be it fridge or cabinets) 😭 i have filled my counters with objects so they doesnt snap to the table, but they snap into the wall for some reason. am i doing something wrong ?
do you have platforms? sometimes they can be a bit funky with items snapping weird or is there a shelf on the other side of the wall? and make sure you hold "alt" to free place the items!
@@emiileaf thankyou for your reply 😁 yes i do have platforms. its working now! apparently have to pull my cursor down lower and position the camera better. and there was a bug i think, when i changed my wall patterns, some of my clutters got deleted. it was weird. happened to me many times. the only way to fix it is to save and exit to main menu and it returns to normal. anyways, thanks again for your quick respond!

Do you delete the shelf after or does it disappear?
