After 6 years of playing sims 4 I've only recently gotten into building. I've always liked decorating but now I'm doing decent looking builds and even crushed my roofing nemesis. But my landscaping just never does it justice. I hope I can learn some mean landscaping

I have always been scared to use terrain manipulation but I started playing around with it a few days ago. I am really liking how it's turning out but there are some tips here that I wish I knew before I started. I really like that floor tile trick for the side of a hill. I just have a lot of get together cliffs everywhere with trees mimicking shrubs behind them lol.

It is so weird how complicated it is to do a decent landscaping in The Sims. I would love a Landscape Brush like the one we had on Zoo Tycoon 2. We could just "paint" a garden with some magic brush.

I do the one with the rooms all the time upload to my library..... but not in the way you explained just saves time .... I gotta do this..... Wow, super usefull video! One last thing, how did you do the platform stairs for the lighthouse? When I try to connect different hight platforms, sims wont let me place it....
When I use the flatten to height tool, I always have an instruction tag that says I can adjust the height using the bracket keys. This tag thing is attached to my curser when I'm using the tool, it's very big and annoying when I'm trying to build. I've watched a few video's and no one else seems to have it. Maybe it's a glitch in my game? I tried to find answers from EA but I didn't get any help at all. Does anyone know how to get rid of this? Thanks!
There is only one problem, even with the cheats you recommended turned on, debug does not work the same when playing on console. Even if you put debug in the search bar. No landscaping ever turns up. 😞
I built ponds in quite a few of my speed builds like the castle and the tree house for example you’ll be able to see it there it’s really simple to create 🥰
@@EvaRotky yes it is, just when I go to world view there is this nice house with some nice cars sitting on the grass instead of this nice terrain rock driveway lol
@@maree464 oh lol it might just be bec world view isn’t fully fledged out, don’t think there’s anything you can do to change that 😔 but at least it looks good on the lot itself :)
You can enter bb.testingcheats on , in live mode that includes bb.moveobjects , however bb.showhiddenobjects & bb.showliveeditobjects must be entered in build/buy mode & you won’t get any confirmation in the cheat text box that you entered em. Remember to use bb.moveobjects and then bb.showhiddenobjects & then bb.showliveeditobjects, in that order. Live edit objects relies on hidden objects.

You can also just copy the room in game instead of saving to your library, it’s much faster
Not when you’re using items from the debug section unfortunately they don’t get copied when you just copy the room 😕

quick tip, if yall have the mc command centre mod, you can turn all cheats on at all times so you dont have to type it out everytime

The rotation of the objects doesn’t seem to work , it’s still blocky when placing the items down

why does it say No CC in title, but then you have to activate 3 cheat codes?
Because cheats aren’t custom content, they’re part of the base game. Cc stands for custom content
Sizing up/down doesn't work :(
