Your Indiana Jones rope bridge was fantastic and the sagging you allowed made for it to be perfect...Great choice...I continue to be amazed with your creativity and patience. Having just undergone Whipple surgery for pancreatic cancer, and now dealing with radiation therapy and chemo treatment at Thomas Jefferson hospital. Your wide collection of videos are the best medicine. Allowing me to escape mentally into a world of imagination and creativity sincerely helps make time pass more pleasuring. I can't imagine how much time and effort you commit to making your videos and sharing them with us all...But you must know how much your efforts are appreciated and add support to the challenges in life. You and your talent are a blessing and I will forever be grateful for all you share. Thanks Jason...Today and always
Could immediately see the lighting difference in your sky in as good way. Looks more dramatic and complimentary to the layout. Then started to notice differences in the buildings. Probably more like in person. Great addition. The layers you’re developing are the thing that many layouts are missing. Very creative.
Yes, yes, yes, the lighting was blue and a bit harsh. I was tempted to mention it a while back but thought it would come across as nit-picking. The new lighting is much better. I noticed it instantly. Softer and easier on the eye, and dare I say more natural. Nice job.
Superb. You always manage to make everything seem so easy, no matter what the subject matter is. As an aside, ref your lighting, change every tube to the yellower ones. Aim for a temperature setting of around 5600K, usually found written on the box and sometimes on the end of the tube. This represents daylight lighting. (Just a thought for you, also, if no silver reflector is in the tube fixing, add silver foil to get more bounce back- lighting. Or try the new type of LED Spotlights. I hope this helps if I am not too late. Looking forward to the next one in the series.
Still simply amazing. I know I've said it here and on Facebook, but you work is one of the best I watch. Thanks again for sharing, I continue to learn from your work.
I can definitely notice a difference with the lighting. I like the mix between bulbs. Seems to me you have a good natural hue. I had changed all my bulbs to LED at my house, in my garage (work space) I like to use 5000k and for living room and relaxing areas I tend to go with 3000k. This mix you have on my screen (samsung HD curved computer monitor color hue set normal) looks very natural. Thanks for sharing your videos.
My shoulder muscles are aching just watching this video, great idea to add a rope bridge and fits in well with the rest of the model. Brilliant thanks for sharing, Jason. 👍
The rope bridge is awesome, looks natural where you have it, i can totally see that in real life. I started laying track today around my new harbour scene, totally having a rope bridge or 2 somewhere.
Hi Jason, here some advice to lighting. I bought for my rr room 30 x120cm led panel lights 40w in neutral white, 4 pieces. Now nothing is hidden in darkness no more and came alive with the flip of the light switch. Cheap to have too. Search ebay. They can be with dimmer or without. Otherwise great work you do. love all the details and nook and cranny areas your layout is turning out awesome . what size is your water front area ?? far as the lighting goes it helps . but it makes your backdrop looks darker. my opinion . love your channel.......
Agree that would be worth trying. I've used Copic markers for shading stone foundations on buildings. They offer a wide range of shading as they're additive.
Hi Jason, when you, the master craftsmen, says something was difficult, that’s pretty intimidating for us regular guys. But thanks for the great tutorial. The bridge came out awesome. I thought I heard the natives banging their drums......but alas it was just your dryer! Lol. See ya next time.
Thank you so much Norman, I really appreciate it!!! It was very delicate and took a lot of patience. I'm sure I will be making some more of them. Thanks for watching!!!
The lighting looks nice Jason. The construction of the bridge is very interesting indeed, however, one constructive criticism if I may (apart from it being too white that you already mentioned): the bridge lacks the sense of weight. The vertical rope supports have wrinkled up and doesn't look natural. May I recommend you give it another go, possibly with EZ line and may be adding a few white metal scrap to give it the required downward pull to make it look natural? Hope you're ok with the little constructive feedback. Your scenes are looking so incredible that one starts to expect everything to look perfect. :)
Thank you so much!!! I welcome the criticism. This was my first attempt and I'm sure I will try it again. I'm always looking to improve. Thanks for watching!!!
Norman Since I’m now on UA-cam vacation as a creator, finding good videos has become my new hobby! It will end soon though. Come January, the madness will start again!
Awesome Jason, that looks great, did I hear your clothes dryer in the background, which would be crazy because our dryer was on while I was watching you. Had head phones on. Excellent work, better than museum quality. God Bless Ya Dave
Thank you so much David, I really appreciate it!!! I'm in the basement so I can always hear the washer, dryer, dish washer, furnace and kids, LOL. Thanks for watching!!!
5000k( white) verses 3500k(.yellow)...different lights....the new led cans have an ajustable 3 way switch so you can choose, 5000k,4000k,or 3500k...same follows with trck lighting, only you choose the correct mr16 bulbs...they wear out fast though...your better off with led stuff....

Thank you so much!!! I'm still working on the lighting, stay tuned!
Lights are an improvement... for rope staining try a copic like marker. pick a nice grey... they will stain it fast. and should last.
Agree that would be worth trying. I've used Copic markers for shading stone foundations on buildings. They offer a wide range of shading as they're additive.
Thanks for the tip!!!

Jason, maybe a couple of figures on the bridge would provide the realistic looking weight. Oh....hi Professor! That’s my guy from Trains and Dioramas.

I hadn't noticed, but comparing your old videos to this one I see the blue cast you're talking about. You look much more alive now! LOL
Thank you Greg!!! LOL
Jason, have you worked with a stock yard and cattle yet. If not I’d be interested in seeing your take on that.
Curious what you used for the rope. Heavy duty thread? Ship rigging thread? Some threads have tiny fiber hairs sticking out in all directions.
Sorry Walter, I dont know what it is. I had it for years in my garage. I really like the look of it. Thanks for watching!!!
Hi Jason well done mate , but where is Indiana Jones 😅😅😅😅😅lol couldn't help myself, Down Under Australia 👍👍👍👍
LOL!!! Thank you so much Marc, I really appreciate it!!!
