I am thrilled to announce that I am currently working with Guitar Pro and their new app called “Play Guitar Hits”. There are 5 songs that will be coming up in the app. 4 of which are already on my UA-cam channel and 1 which is a remake of an older video which has been requested several times.
Really looking forward to this and it’s such an honour to be working with a company who developed a program that completely changed my life as a player.

Fun fact for anyone who plays racing sims, Stairway to heaven is about the same length as a decent time round the Nürburgring. and let me tell you the end of the song syncs up with you laying the pedal down on the final straight so well.

I really like these videos because they cut out all the talking and get right to the music, as someone who's been playing for 14 years it's nice to not be treated like a beginner. So thank you.
agreed! It's also nice being able to hear the guitar and only the guitar as it's being played.The drums on this song aren't too heavy so they didn't interfere. But there's just way too many videos with people playing guitar right over the full song. Sometimes it gets hard to make out the lead or rhythm guitar parts from each other or from bass or even from other instruments/effects sometimes.

I dont know if im more impressed by the playing or the fact that you were able to recreate the set from Wayne's World. The "No Stairway" sign, the white on white Strat and even the black tee and denim jeans that Wayne wears. I bow to you sir "we're not worthy, we're not worthy".

Hey Everyone! I wanted to do this and also show how I added extra tracks with a 6 string to try and get close to that 12 string sound. Of course, nothing beats the sound of a 12 string but I’m assuming most of us don’t own one as well. So as I went through each verse, I show how I added a fill, then one layer, then the second layer to show how I wanted to fill the song out with a 6 string. This was really fun for me to experiment with and I was really happy with how it turned out. Hope you guys enjoy the tune and Special Thanks to Patrons who voted for Zeppelin and then furthermore voted for the background. You guys are awesome! Cheers!

This is great that you took the time to put together a very good quality lesson with tabs at the bottom. These types of tutorials are always better than without where they just talk through every part and it quickly becomes a 60 min video. Thanks a lot for this.

When I was a kid in the 80’s, my mom always loved it when I played the parts of this song that I could actually play. She will b 80 in July. Would be nice if I could finally learn this proper and play it for her.

It is recorded with a tele and a 12 string but there is no double neck tele so he had to use an sg double neck
'' Stairway to Heaven '' has been originally played on a Fender Telecaster in studiio when they recorded this album in 1971.

I used to play this when it came out in high school on my 12 string. I never tried to play the lead. It would easier to play the synth part on 'Won't get fooled again' then bend a 12 string that much.

THANK you for noting the Interlude in 4/4!!! There are so many tab versions out there with (IMO) unnecessary changes in time signature in this part. It's tricky to play but it needs to be in 4/4. Yes!

i love the guitar solo in this. that beginning descending A minor pentatonic scale down to the F note gets me every time.
also the 'if there's a bustle in your hedgerow...don't be alarmed now' is such a classic lyric..
I'll never understand how page, gilmour, and frehley could make the pentatonic scale so musical in their solos by the way they phrased the notes.
