Agate he always had the grappling hook in the original game for the PS4 in the game’s loading screens as a transition the assumption that smash gave him the grappling hook is incorrect.
I think the Rebellion Gauge is a reference to the Phan-Site bar from the loading screens in the game. It especially looks like it when it bursts during the final show down.
