- It's Eurovision time again! And this time I'm starting to check the participants early on, so let's get the ball rolling with the Ukranian contender.
Some dance/hip-hop track sung in Ukranian by two ladies (Alyona Alyone and Jerry Heil) and four backing vocalists are trying to take the trophy home. Could they do it this time?
Well, from what I saw last year, nobody can really tell who's gonna be liked or not, so the best I can do is to give you my honest reaction and analysis.

I don’t care if they are from Ukraine or Africa , definitely they should win. Listening to them you feel like you are in heaven, this song goes directly to your soul,angelic voices. The chorus and singing in all scales. It is not boring,like you said. It’s beautiful,this music contains everything and for all people, the tribal accent, the folk voices and the rap.

Im from Ukraine and thank you for your reaction. As saying go : it’s hard to give a haircut to a hairstylist))) As a musician you notice all the imperfections of the video nobody else pays attention to. Also I can tell, you are new to Eurovision and so don’t know how things work there. This video will not be playing at the contest it just an entire. It will be polished and changed and worked on to its best, so it doesn’t matter if her mic didn’t work or earpiece failed or kids with flags did wrong things. What matters if it will stays out among 35 other songs, will people remember it at the end of the day, is it unique? Well we will see at the end. It’s definitely an Eurovision material and #1 now in the charts. I’ll be surprised if it does not make top 5. Thanks again for your reaction.

you have nothing to apologize for. Everyone has their own opinion and tastes in music. I don't think this song is super cool, but it's really good and interesting. It is simple and consists of different parts and techniques in music. And all these parts are connected very smoothly and organically. At the same time, this is a Eurovision song. This song is aimed at the crowd: a catchy and simple chorus, a dance beat, and some vocals but enough to show that they are strong.

I am Ukrainian and supporting girls, but Jamala's performance (Eurovision Ukraine winner 2016) will always be my favorite over the years probably.

The rapping was really good! The pop singer was awesome as well. I think the composition was just too flat for my taste

@@patrodenso please check on their other projects. Alyona is an amazing rapper, like AMAZING I am following her carrier for years atp, and I'm not even Ukrainian. And Jerry has an angelic voice. Those two often collab togheter, they're incredible talented, so maybe you'll find a song you like better among their other work
I want to say that it is this song that makes most people dance when they hear this song, of course people have different opinions, the sound director wanted to spoil their performance, right from the beginning, And I don't see anything funny here, I think that Ukraine will definitely win Eurovision, and Ukraine will perform better in Eurovision 😉😏

Справа в тому, що національний відбір Євробачення в Україні проводився в укритті, оскільки в будь-який момент на Київ могли летіти російські ракети. Тому звук був точно не досконалий. У будь-якому випадку дякуємо за реакцію

They had some issues with the sound, on other live video you can hear Alyona as well. I agree with you I was also irritated when I watched it live. But now I am a fan. It grew on me)
Man, there was an issue with sound. Thanks for your professional opinion, but unfortunately it's like a professional judging a broken car race on a track and not even knowing it's broken. You think that Alyona didn't sing because you couldn't hear the difference before and after her appearance, but you didn't take into account that it was Jerry who sometimes couldn't be heard because of sound problems. She even removed the monitor from her ear at the beginning. Jerry's voice only broke through in the chorus when she took the lower or higher notes and this became her asset despite the sound issue. Alyona is may not the front vocal in the chorus, she formed the backing vocals with others. But you still confused Alyona's backing vocals with Jerry's vocals. I growled when you were sure that Alyona was not singing and tried to find confirmation of that. Any way I understand that it is not your style of music and you did not pay attention on the sound issues. It is not a rock music, not Alan Wake 2 musical performance. So thanks even for this your reaction.

Some problems with mics took place during this live performance, so we hear badly the main singer some times + badly/don't hear second singer when she supports the first one.
Anyway, this shouldn't happen on the main event, so looking forward to the performance the way it was intended.

Boring is very gneral description. The beat is boring because you know how to make it better? Or the melody is boring? You can be a good mucisian and as a drummer you can do great things, but you don't know how to explain what boring is... it's like a child who says I' m bored...😅 but ok, you can dislike it, maybe you prefer other type of music or can make different type of music, it was just kind of boring to hear you saying " boring" all the time, you know what I mean?!

Дякую! Здається, ви розумієте, що тут відбувається. Є багато-багато ютуберів, які зроблять все можливе, щоб задовольнити фанатів і не говорити негативно про це. У моєму випадку я реагував на багато пісень (навіть на Євробачення минулого року), які мені потім дуже сподобались, а деякі з них навіть привели мене до сліз.
Я вважаю, що іноді в остаточне рішення втручається багато політики, і вважаю, що повинна бути різниця між політикою та музикою, яку ми бачимо. Якщо країна страждає (як багато інших країн у світі в даний момент), це трагічно, і було безліч ночей, коли я не міг спати, думаючи про щоденні страждання своїх співгромадян.
Сказавши це, в Україні є так багато хороших музичних виражень, і я вважаю, що цього року вони не вибрали найкращу, щоб представляти їх.

They confess that it is very spiritual song and they feel something high hearing it… Don’t tell us about politics , because Ukraine is a leader in Eurovision from 2013. Three time a winner, two times second, one time third, one time forth, and a lot of time in top 10. It is THE only country wich always qualifies to the final. Вона справжньо приглушена, мені навіть не треба її впізнавати з попереднього, я можу сказати з цього відео, що вона приглушена в хорусі. Звісно, я не збираюся обговорювати з кожною окремою особою, але коли ви творите музику і займаєтеся звуком стільки часу, як і я, і багато інших, ви помічаєте, що відбувається в музиці без попередніх знань.

Damn) I heard this song 10 times and the bit was ok for me till you make attention to it))). Now the bit sounds boring to me too. But this song has a special vibe and meaning that actually makes this song much more interesting and underlayered. If you don't catch this vibe (kind of divine, hope, struggle), it's lost and has no chance of being loved by a listener. Without the feeling of sense, this song is empty.

That was an honest opinion! I love hearing your professional opinion and how you explain what you like and what you don't like. Personally the song doesn't come together as a whole for me. I only really love the Mama Tereza part of the song. I don't see this winning. Top 10 certainly
