They did have some technical issues during this performance, so you should definitely listen to the studio cut to get the full experience of the song. This one is one of my absolute favourites

Didn’t they also have technical issues with the voting app that they had to give people an extra day to be able to vote for their favourite to win the national final this year? There were a lot of technical issues this time around. So this entry definitely sounds more like it was suffering from these technical issues rather than it being poorly mixed.
Yes, it’s one of the favorites due to politicans as usual. I do not like the song, it’s not deserved to be in top 5. Maybe 20.

There are many spare seats because of security reasons. They had to pre-record it, and people were invited personally. No one was allowed to buy tickets. Guests all signed a kind of NDA so that no one who is not invited knew where and when the show was pre-recorded. All these security measures were taken because it is not safe to have live events in Ukraine. Any minute Russia can launch a massive attack with shelling and Iranian drones.
But they pre-recorded everything as if it was live -- in one take. If the air raid alarm happened, everyone stopped recording and went to the shelter. Last year they organized Vidbir at the underground metro station. You can even hear when the trains are passing.

I've watched Vidbir on YT, both this year and last year.
It was an amazing show, even in those conditions: last year I remember forgetting the fact that it was filmed in a subway station (only being sometimes reminded by the trains).
It's amazing how you keep it up against everything, Ukrainians really are unbreakable. 💪

The sound mix is a bit messed up because this was held on a train station because of the war, but they still managed to sound good

They host Vidbir last year in a train station but this year not.
The sound was horrible, but it wont be a problem in Malmo. Another very good job from Ukraine.

@@THE.GYPSY.PRINCE I like it beyond those technicalities. It is in my top 3, regardless of country of origin. Your 3 first arguments are just personal opinions. The only fair one was about the sound. Generally Ukraine sends powerfull songs, so I don't get your point. Also people vote based on their feelings. If there is a war, there are even more feelings, but only a few people would vote giving their own money for a bad song.

I love listening to this song. it's about how all the saints (Teresa, Maria) were born as humans on this earth. The song also talks about "divas" in a positive way, as in people who have come far in their personal development.
I think your comment is very accurate, Tina. Do you know Jerry Heil's song called "Vegan" - a previous attempt to appear at Eurovision? Such a different song. Incredibly funny but supportive of the vegan point of view!

Hey! I think you should watch their first performance, they sang better due to the technical issues with this performance (Jerry's earpiece playing a different track, the backing vocals being louder than them)

Another country that keeps on delivering great tracks. One of my favorites this year.
Been a huge grower for me! One has to listen to the recorded version to get the whole impact because of the terrible sound mix in Vidbir. Well done Ukraine though for even having the show under the appalling circumstances. I think this will kill on the big stage in Sweden with better sound and the usual Ukrainian production elevation.

To me up to this point it’s the only song that has potential winner vibes.

Haven't watched your video for a few months, you look healthier than before.
You didn't even listen to the full song, only chunks. There is so much happening in each bar/measure. It's impossible to hear the song properly and make a sound judgement.
She’s said many times that she cannot show the full clip for copyright issues. Doesn’t mean she hasn’t listened to it!

Very hard for people to express honest opinions about this song, there's always going to be politics, it's a song contest though.. Nowhere near the quality of Ukrainian winning song, still number one with the bookies. It's a good one but nothing special personally, not my cup of tea.
When I heard the name Jerry Heil for the first time, I was of course thinking that I'm going to hear the voice of a man, because Jerry is actually a name for a man and extremely rare as a woman's name. I recently found out that she possibly had two sources of inspiration that made her choose this stage name: "Jerry" comes from Tom and Jerry, and Heil was the name that she found on a website with American surnames. By the way, it is pronounced like the name Hale.
I wonder when the U.K entry will drop?

Дівчата - молодці, авжеж, і я щиро радію, що саме вони перемогли в фіналі. Але ж, проблеми зі звуком були, то Джорджина про це й говорить. Of course we support Ukraine in their situation but we have to be fair to everyone and separate sympathy to the Ukraine people and the song contest and judge their performances according to how they presented themselves and not because of the War in their country ,it's unfair to everyone who are preparing themselves for the contest for sometime ,or else just send the trophy to Ukraine and everybody will just stay home.
This is so mean. You’re saying so as we want to be pitied, don’t let others present themselves, etc. As if the trophy in the song context is the most important thing in life. Be sure, that no one wants to steal someone’s victory. And I guess we will see all the artists from Europe on the grand stage in May, their skills and just enjoy their performances.

Tbh I don't get the hype around this song. It's not a bad song but clearly not an Eurovision winner. If you think so, please listen Jerry Heil's last year attempt titled "when god shut the door" it is much better and I would be ok it winning. But now I am waiting for another winner.

My god what an awful comment! The political struggles have nothing to do with anyone commenting about a song in Eurovision! Eurovision is a song contest, not a Ukraine support program! Really unfair! Your comment should be removed! Bullying! You should really check yourself as a person, that's not OK at all!
Totally disagree! Georgina expresses her opinion on the song and on the performance. She is not obliged to praise something she doesn’t really like.
Most likely, Georgina has no idea that the recording took place in the bomb shelter hence there were problems with sound and spare seats she mentions. Maybe, she is not even aware of the fact that Ukraine has been fighting for its right to exist for almost two years. And what? It doesn’t make Georgina less human. Eurovision is not about politics. It’s about music.
I do like the song and believe that in Malmo the girls will show the best performance. It doesn’t mean, though, that people who don’t like it don’t have any heart. Not a nice comment, sorry
