All the bathrooms and then the kitchen… looks like services and housing for migrant workers and families. You mentioned fields nearby… There probably was more or different agriculture at one time.

These abandoned buildings in the desert are like cracker jack boxes...each one has some weird prize inside that you don't know until you open the box. Personally, i think the restaurant was just a front, for the lucrative black market make-up operation!

    My theory is:
It probably was a rest stop for Asian (Korean) gamblers. That cater charter busses between LA and Vegas. It was an extremely profitable venture in the 80's and early 90's. They called them 'turn over' excursions. Leaving late afternoon. Returning in about 12 hours later. Their sleep was done in the commute.
As foreign born capitalist. They probably had restaurants within their syndicate. So they can recycle more money from the foreign born immigrants commuters. Promising non foreign Korean food. They probably had a gift shop. Hence the make up.
We all know Asians don't have much vices, but gambling. You know that. If you ever lived in Vegas.

Pro tip: I lived in Phoenix for 2 1/2 years and have visited other places out west. Cowboy boots were invented for a reason! Rattlesnakes are no joke, and neither are bark scorpions. They're all over the place in the western US.
Save your flip-flops for the hot springs, the pools, and the showers. Get a good pair of heavy leather cowboy boots that fit well, preferably customized for you if you can afford it. Remember that, in the desert, everything will stick, sting, or bite you with venom. Always wear the cowboy boots when you go exploring!
I found out the hard way about flip flops when I got stung by bark scorpions, not once, but twice, because I wore sandals and flip flops. I got good and sick, and it took a long time to recover.

Mojave high desert dweller,i sleep in Doc Martins steel toe boots.
I've crushed a couple scorps in bare feet at front of toilet, drunk pissin' at night.
Flip flops are for the shower only, but scorps love the shower as well.
Mojave sidewinders love to curl up at front door, cute as a button.
I have made peace with the thousand spiders in my house.
I may die a horrible death, but with my boots on.

Detective deduction .... a large 'homestead' away from regular people, (meaning a drive to get there) ... where makeup is used ... what appears to be dining room, next to a large industrial kitchen. Out building a residence ... and the rock faced out building looking like a room ... with a large meeting room. If more bedrooms, a resort, or even a brothel ... but without bedrooms, even the bathroom with 3 toilets and large sink is a mystery. Possibly a resort .. with campground / restaurant / meeting place?

Many years ago I decided I was tired of society and decided to go live alone, which I did for about four years before coming back. I thought nobody noticed but I was wrong. A young Asian woman gets a hold of me asking me a bunch of questions. I won't give you her background because she probably wouldn't like that. I showed her the video. She didn't recognize the place but she did recognize the make-up saying it was her "uncles" company which in her case doesn't necessarily mean her uncle because she uses aunt and uncle like some people say brother and sister. She tells me that it was very unlikely ever a Chinese restaurant or a brothel, was definitely used by others, maybe as some sort of resort, before the makeup arrived because someone was using the place as a "Hooking Station". A place where young mostly Asian girls were brought in and hooked on a drug. They are given a make-up bag being told they were models and then sold to a massage parlor. The girls would have had no idea where they were. She doesn't know about that place but knows for sure that girls arrive with that make-up at the massage parlors.

All the Chinese people I've ever met can repair or build anything out of garbage. They are freaking amazing when it comes to that.
