I've never actually needed a noise gate on bass unless I'm turning on multiple high gain distortions.

I feel like this is a rare misstep from Darkglass. It's too expensive for what it is. There are noise gates with better features for less money. I love Darkglass but this is kinda ridiculous.
They have a name now and are perceived as "premium" so they're trying to cash in on it. If they don't move any units they'll drop the price, but they'll shoot high first of course.

Building a decent noise gate isn't easy in the given context. I'm curious about the fine technical details of this thing.
@@Goth108 it doesn't even have an effects loop which is something I would expect a noise gate this expensive to have. It's a standard feature on the higher end gates and it's absent from this pedal. It's just a weird decision to make it this way and ask this much money for it.
@@drphalanges1520 I can't comment as I don't know what it does in details. "Cutting noise" is a whole science, not necessarily just a simple on/off gate. I wonder if it's analog or digital, what else it does other than gating, how it analyses the signal etc.. Hope to learn these details soon.
